"If the American people had ever known the truth about what we (the BCE) have done to this nation, we would be chased down in the streets and lynched." - Poppy Bush, 1992
Elizebeth Warren is nothing more than a con artist and a political opportunist. Liz is out for one person. Her. She loves money so she will go where she can make some of it. Most of this political bullshit is kabuki theater.
Anyways we got a showdown between a guy losing his mind and a guy who just had a heart attack. The powers that be really want a brokered convention. Then they can put whoever they want in and all this dog and pony show bullshit means nothing.
Bernie will still win financially. He will come out of this with a few more dollars in his pocket.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!
Anyways it’s a cartoon. All these twisted characters fighting over who is going to beat a guy who uses fake tanning cream and has orange hair that looks terrible.
Just heard Liz's press conference live on Thom Hartmann's show. She said nothing about endorsing anybody, but she did talk about the problems of ordinary Americans, specifically mentioning student loan debt & health care expenses. Logically it's hard to believe that she could endorse the guy who deliberately increased student loan debt, and who opposes true health care reform.
So call me "cautiously optimistic" that she will be backing the right guy this time (despite the pointless attacks against him in recent weeks, on the advice of Hillbot DLC consultants)
Millionaires cryin' about billionaires. Fuck 'em.
Student loan debt isn't the problem. People agreeing to the terms of the loans and now deciding they don't want to live up to the terms, that's the problem. Fuck them, too. You agreed to that shit, pay up and shut up.
Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.
I seem to have heard this all before...

I dunno.
The last couple times I saw Warren on TV, she looked like she had the shakes. She was on Kimmel Monday night, camera's on her and I'm thinking "she's shaking." Sit still, woman!
Hillary's symptoms were very real. Everybody saw her pass out, everybody heard her coughing fits. Everybody saw her have to be practically carried up a flight of stairs. And there were the bizzare public appearances where she looked liked she was wearing some sort of exoskeleton under her pantsuit. All of those physical symptoms had a number of plausible explanations. My mother had a similar coughing spell a few years back, and it could be traced directly to the blood pressure medication she was on at the time. Once that medication was changed, the coughing stopped. If Hillary had a similar reaction to medication, that's very believable. She clearly had something wrong with her that made her fall several times, given that she broke several bones in a short time. Osteoperosis was clearly part of it, though probably not the source of what was making her fall. Believe me, I've learned more than I ever wanted to about how brittle bones can get in some older folks in the last few years. As Mick & Keef once wrote (ironically while they were in their 20s) "What a drag it is, getting old...."
What Biden is clearly showing is a different matter altogether. Dementia is something that's not reversible. And there's no mistaking his condition. This is not the mild "gaffes" of Biden's past (which themselves were probably residual leftovers of his aneurysm in the 1980s). He is way beyond that. This isn't merely a shitty candidate for President, this is a man completely incapable of doing the job. Cheeto's already a candidate for 25th amendment removal from office (if Pence & his cabinet had the balls to do it). It makes no sense at all to replace him with somebody who's mental condition is as bad or worse, and whose political positions really wouldn't be much better.
I couldn't agree less. If you don't vote for the Democrat candidate(again) then you really can't complain when Trump makes it the last meaningful US election.
US institutions will not survive a second term of Trump. It's worrying that there are people out there with your opinions.

Looks like Bernie May take another buy out.
My vote in November is irrelevant. I live in Deep Blue Cascadia and the electoral votes here are going to the Democratic Nominee, whether legitimate or not. I'm not opposed to voting for a nominee I don't believe in. I voted for Mondale in 1984 & Dukakis in 1988 knowing damned well that neither one would win. I ran three fucking campaigns out of my house in 1996 and part of that was the local Clinton campaign, even though he had already been a major disappointment by then and would only get worse. The only reason I wouldn't vote for his wife in 2016 is because there was nothing legitimate about that nomination.
Would I vote for Biden in November if he were a legitimate nominee? Maybe. Maybe not. But it makes no difference. He's not capable of doing the fucking job. And even if he still had a brain, he would do NOTHING of value in office. Just like Obama didn't undo any of Chimp's damage, and Clinton actually made things WORSE than Reagan did (passed NAFTA, killed off Glass Steagal, and passed the FAUX/Comcast/Clear Channel/Sinclair Enabling Act of 1996).
We need Bernie just to restore fucking sanity. This country hasn't been truly sane since 1980 and went straight into padded cell territory after we allowed the Supreme Court to steal the 2000 election. Every Republican is infinitely worse and the corporate "Democrats" do nothing to reverse the damage. It's time to end the cycle completely before we have to imagine what "worse than Cheeto" looks like.
What would you expect him to do, contradict himself? Just last week, that smug little prick Cuck Frodd asked all the candidates during the debate on MSDNC whether the candidate with the most delegates should win the nomination. Bernie was the only one who gave an honest answer, the rest of them made up some bullshit about "rules" (which were just recently invented by corrupt Hillbots).
Now on the other hand, making sure the primaries themselves are conducted honestly, that's entirely a different matter. Iowa was an obvious clusterfuck. There are serious questions about Texas, with hundreds of polling places closed without notice. Bernie won California, but that doesn't mean the Hillbot Secretary of State there didn't try to steal it (really screwy process with independent voters being able to get a "Democratic" ballot). And of course, any state that uses Diebold machines will always be suspect.
At the end of the day though, if you have a candidate with a clear lead in delegates walking into the convention, then that candidate should be the nominee. Now that it's down to 2 candidates, there's not going to be situation where Candidate B + Candidate C are going to be able to make a deal to combine delegate counts to get over Candidate A.
Of course Bernie & I remain hopeful that he's the one with the delegate lead when that time comes.
What I don't understand how people who are interested in politics and pay attention to it, think that an outsider Bernie could possibly achieve anything remotely radical that he is promising when a vanilla Obama scraped through very little when he had majorities in the house and senate?
That also cuts for the people against Bernie.
The best you can hope for is a competent administrator.
I don't expect Bernie to be the second coming of Christ (despite being a Jewish Socialist ex carpenter himself) and resurrecting the USA single-handedly in one day, or even one year. But what I do expect of him is to appoint a cabinet of like minded people and a a VP who can carry on after him when he leaves office, probably after 4 years. And when these policies prove successful (and they already HAVE, in the years of 1932 - 1980) the American people will finally wake up from the long national nightmare of the Reagan cult.
I read a lot of stuff about how the demographics especially of latino folk and so on means that inevitably the old traditional Christian right GOP in the end is going to lose.
I'm really not so sure, you may end up like the UK whereby the 'liberals' split into 2 parties divide the vote leaving the old right wing people to win forever.
The recent pro Brexit Conservative landslide victory here got 42% of the vote, the liberal anti Brexit parties got 58% but split 3 ways.
Don't fall into this trap. Shitty 200 year old systems of democracy are horrible in multi party democracies and inevitably old reactionary right wing voters win.
What is Warren waiting for? Time to side with Bernie
Roth Army Canada
But she literally owes her entire political career to hating Biden. If not for his piece of shit bankruptcy bill, none of us would even know her name..
And besides, all those bullshit accusations against Bernie from her? That all came from the Hillbot consultants. They told her to attack Bernie and to turn her back on Medicare For All. Look how well that worked out for her.
Obviously, the parliamentary system has its own flaws, as the UK & Israel can testify to. Or Canada, for that matter, when it took them a decade to get rid of Little Stevie Wonderbush Harper. So mulitple parties aren't always the solution. For the US at least, Getting big money out of politics and out of media is probably the better solution. If you're going to be stuck with only two viable parties, then at least one of them should represent the people. And - though I realize I have said this a million times since 2002, we really need to smash every last one of the electro-fraud machines. And prohibit the use of any corrupt apps like the one that fucked up the Iowa caucus.
I think gerrymandering is a bigger problem in the US than dodgy voting machines.
I also used to think(and have posted a lot here about it) that money was the biggest problem in US politics but I'm not completely sure about that anymore after the failure of Clinton and Bloomberg. Like everything else in elections the cheap internet is more important than expensive TV
So Ford is posting Fox News links now? Really?
The percentage of "Bernie" people who voted for Cheeto was far less than the percentage of Hillbots/PUMAs who voted for McCain & Moosealini in 2008. Furthermore, those alleged "Bernie" voters were independents or even Republicans who liked Bernie's populist message, but would have never voted for a corporatist "Democrat" like Hillary. Cheeto used just enough faux-populism in his rhetoric to pull them in. Of course, he was lying about all of that.
Trump didn't get any votes from Democrats or the independent Left.
