Are you wearing a MAGA hat now FORD?
It's hard to believe we are still in an election year in some ways... This pandemic has upstaged virtually every aspect of the election.
Right at this point... I don't see Sleepy Joe™ as having a hope in hell of getting elected POTUS.
"If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”
"Sleepy Joe" is ahead of Asshole-in-Chief by 9 points in most polls. COVID-19 is not Drumpf's friend as he makes himself look like a fucking asshole in new, ground breaking ways. BTW, he just assuredly lost Michigan...
I agree a lot can change, but Biden looks to be ridin' with a probable 248 of 270 needed Electoral votes to Trumpy's 204...
Trump's next move is to try to postpone the election, but not the economy of course...

Complete, 100% bullshit. Even if they actually had the same policies, Biden would be a far better general manager and would have decent staff in place. He would have for instance never fired the Pandemic Team or fucked over his CDC. The Bernie Supporters sour grapes is just as delusional as MAGDAs. Maybe worse, because MAGDA-trash aren't selectively opinionated, apathetic when it counts, nor lazy and actually show up to vote for what they believe in...
Bernie has good points and maybe had a shot, but his false-narrative-"I'm a socialist", bourgeois narrative is silly and makes him unelectable nationally...

Biden's not capable of managing shit anymore. Just look at the guy. He belongs in an assisted living facility, for fucks sake. Compare him with somebody like Cuomo Jr, for example. Who I would probably disagree with on policy 2/3 of the time, but at least he's trying to show some leadership in this clusterfuck.
Bernie is also trying to lead... but of course the corporate media is ignoring him as usual.
Bernie had a blocked artery, which is something that can be resolved. There's no equivalent of angioplasty for a brain with dementia. During Bloomberg's brief and disastrous stint as a candidate in this race, he admitted that he had the same procedure as Bernie over 20 years ago. Not that I'm saying Bernie's going to be around another 20 years, but I'm willing to bet he's good for at least 4, and hopefully 8.
Certainly being President is a stressful job even under the best of circumstances. But I think somebody who might need to keep an eye on his blood pressure & heart rate is going to do better in that case than somebody who is literally incapable of thinking clearly and critically about important issues.
And then there's this.....
Assuming Biden is even the nominee, and somehow manages to be elected, he would be about as much of an actual "President" as Reagan or the Chimp were. And here's an admission that the corporatist oligarchs are directly picking the "new" Poppy Bush/Darth Cheney type of "vice" president.
Fuck that. This planet is on a verge of a worldwide disaster which is basically the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic AND the Great Depression combined. And the only two paths out of a Great Depression are FDR or Hitler/Mussolini. And it doesn't matter how much corporate media bullshit you paint on the fascist model, it's still fascism. And make no mistake about it, that shit that just passed Congress was about 85% fascism.
Time to wake the fuck up, elect the 21st century FDR and put an end to the toilet spiral of the last 40 years, because the window we have to make the fucked up situation reversible is closing really fast.....
Biden is a PNAC signator who never met a war he didn't like. He's spent most of his career enabling the most criminal elements of the banking industry, he opposes any real improvement to health care, he put Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court, helped build the prison industrial complex (and still opposes ending the pointless "war on drugs") and now we learn he's literally grabbing women by the pussy. And all of that was before he literally lost his mind.
What does he stand for which could possibly reverse the toilet spiral of the last 40 years in any significant way?
Yeah, that polling data is out there... But I've been questioning the validity of polling data these days. The whole dynamic of polls has shifted with the internet from where it was via phone polls 10 years ago or more. Special interests, rigged statistical algorithms and out right trolling have introduced major murkiness.
It's kinda like planning to make major financial investments following a big win playing Monopoly...
One of the most ridiculous DLC talking points ever. He didn't "waffle". He voted for the interests of the people in a rural state. If Bernie were still living in Brooklyn, he probably wouldn't have a lot of voters in his district who had a need to own a gun. They aren't going to need to hunt for food in the winter, or ever face a wild animal outside their back door who might not be so friendly.
As for the false controversy over whether gun manufacturers should be able to be sued because some crazy fuck used a gun to murder a bunch of people, I wouldn't have voted for that either. It's like suing General Motors if some drunken asshole kills somebody with a Chevy. Now on the other hand, the bar that sold that fool too much alcohol SHOULD be liable. As should the gun seller who sold a gun to a criminal or psychopath. So that wasn't "waffling" just common sense.
You aren't going to stop mass shootings by suing gun manufacturers. You stop them by getting guns out of the hands of criminals & psychos, and putting gun sellers - whether licensed dealers or government hating MAGAtts at gun shows - who refuse to take that responsibility seriously, out of business.
We had an election in the UK a few months back where the 'democrat' candidate was seen as laughably so far to the left that he was completely destroyed by the guy most people knew was a liar, lazy, self interested and a with no morals.
Now with the pandemic we have that guy in charge of a move to big government which is effectively more extreme left than the other guy.
When the shit hits the fan that's when we need government and we need it to be really fucking competent. This COVID thing has come at the worst time possible for the UK and the US.
Winston Churchill was a horrible racist empire loving cunt but a really good guy to have in charge during WWII. I'm sorry but cunt grabbing isn't the issue at this point when you are talking about 100s of thousands of people dying, Biden would surround himself with experts and take their advice.
Forget Ukrainians and everything else, Trump should be impeached and removed now for ignoring your pandemic planning because a black guy who made a couple of jokes at his expense was in charge when it was written.
I think it's too early in the crisis to make a call on which leaders are competently managing things... for the US and UK things are just starting to get real.
There's not a lot of success stories to set a bar by... Maybe South Korea and Japan appear to have a handle on things at the moment. I'm hesitant to consider China... there's a lot of questionable aspects with how this started and spread globally.
For South Korea and Japan I'm not convinced it's a result of better leaders so much as cultural discipline elements that are ingrained in their people. They as a whole appear to have stuck to their crisis management planning elements like having the necessary supplies and resources already on hand. Then there's social compliance factors to when the leadership calls for travel restrictions and shelter in place... 98% of the people calmly go stay at home. Can't say that's even remotely the case in the US or UK right at this dangerous moment...
The US and UK were the leaders in global crisis planning... but then we got lazy, distracted, complacent and didn't even execute the basic elements of a couple of decades of pandemic planning. Like having an adequate supply of essential PPE... rather than a warehouse full of masks, gowns, face shields... we traded that common sense for a couple of quarters of corporate dividends and $1.50 of earnings per share.
The administrative leadership of the medical community should be questioned along with governmental leaders...
I think part of the problem is that we got into this mindset where any spare capacity in our healthcare systems was seen as inefficiency. Also I don't think it's a coincidence that the people that did best with this virus were the South Koreans because they had been through it before. We couldn't learn from them because they are South Korean and we'll make our own mistakes. I bet we get really good at dealing with the next one which is fortunate because it will likely be around November this year when this one bounces back.
I guess we don't know for absolute sure at the moment but it really looks as though one trend across countries is that those with populist leaders who lie a lot aren't handling this well.
Ironically enough, South Korea also has some of the best Internet service on the planet, so if they had been locked down for months on end, at least they would be better equipped to deal with that as well as the pandemic itself.
The governor of Georgia just announced that it's a game changer that its been discovered in the last 24 hours that you can spread it even if you have no symptoms!
He's the governor of 10 MILLION people.
I think the USA has some of the worst fucking politicians in the 'free' world. And the UK is like a USA covers band.
I have to think it's systemic because of the electoral systems specifically 2 party systems.
Remember... the governor of GA is this fool.....
So being well informed really ain't in his wheelhouse.
Forget politics the level of utter fucking incompetence makes you fear for the future...
I have to agree... looking back at history it seems we got lucky in that some fairly smart and reasonable people were elected and provided good leadership. Today... with social popularity not necessarily good leadership attributes winning... it's just making some things a fucking mess...
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!
