That is the most idiotic thing I've ever seen you post in 20 years.

You need to get out of whatever information bubble you are in.

Biden is a PNAC signator who never met a war he didn't like. He's spent most of his career enabling the most criminal elements of the banking industry, he opposes any real improvement to health care, he put Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court, helped build the prison industrial complex (and still opposes ending the pointless "war on drugs") and now we learn he's literally grabbing women by the pussy. And all of that was before he literally lost his mind.

What does he stand for which could possibly reverse the toilet spiral of the last 40 years in any significant way?

I agree a lot can change, but Biden looks to be ridin' with a probable 248 of 270 needed Electoral votes to Trumpy's 204...

Trump's next move is to try to postpone the election, but not the economy of course...
Yeah, that polling data is out there... But I've been questioning the validity of polling data these days. The whole dynamic of polls has shifted with the internet from where it was via phone polls 10 years ago or more. Special interests, rigged statistical algorithms and out right trolling have introduced major murkiness.

It's kinda like planning to make major financial investments following a big win playing Monopoly...

Biden has made bad calls, but you can just as easily slam Bernie for waffling on gun control!

Biden has also done many good things, he's fiscally sensible and pushed for Obamacare...

One of the most ridiculous DLC talking points ever. He didn't "waffle". He voted for the interests of the people in a rural state. If Bernie were still living in Brooklyn, he probably wouldn't have a lot of voters in his district who had a need to own a gun. They aren't going to need to hunt for food in the winter, or ever face a wild animal outside their back door who might not be so friendly.

As for the false controversy over whether gun manufacturers should be able to be sued because some crazy fuck used a gun to murder a bunch of people, I wouldn't have voted for that either. It's like suing General Motors if some drunken asshole kills somebody with a Chevy. Now on the other hand, the bar that sold that fool too much alcohol SHOULD be liable. As should the gun seller who sold a gun to a criminal or psychopath. So that wasn't "waffling" just common sense.

You aren't going to stop mass shootings by suing gun manufacturers. You stop them by getting guns out of the hands of criminals & psychos, and putting gun sellers - whether licensed dealers or government hating MAGAtts at gun shows - who refuse to take that responsibility seriously, out of business.

Just silly, "gun control" doesn't mean banning ownership of guns. I will soon be a gun owner (again) and I am all for sensible restrictions on firearms...

Now with the pandemic we have that guy in charge of a move to big government which is effectively more extreme left than the other guy.

When the shit hits the fan that's when we need government and we need it to be really fucking competent. This COVID thing has come at the worst time possible for the UK and the US.

Winston Churchill was a horrible racist empire loving cunt but a really good guy to have in charge during WWII. I'm sorry but cunt grabbing isn't the issue at this point when you are talking about 100s of thousands of people dying, Biden would surround himself with experts and take their advice.

Forget Ukrainians and everything else, Trump should be impeached and removed now for ignoring your pandemic planning because a black guy who made a couple of jokes at his expense was in charge when it was written.

I think it's too early in the crisis to make a call on which leaders are competently managing things... for the US and UK things are just starting to get real.

There's not a lot of success stories to set a bar by... Maybe South Korea and Japan appear to have a handle on things at the moment. I'm hesitant to consider China... there's a lot of questionable aspects with how this started and spread globally.

For South Korea and Japan I'm not convinced it's a result of better leaders so much as cultural discipline elements that are ingrained in their people. They as a whole appear to have stuck to their crisis management planning elements like having the necessary supplies and resources already on hand. Then there's social compliance factors to when the leadership calls for travel restrictions and shelter in place... 98% of the people calmly go stay at home. Can't say that's even remotely the case in the US or UK right at this dangerous moment...

The US and UK were the leaders in global crisis planning... but then we got lazy, distracted, complacent and didn't even execute the basic elements of a couple of decades of pandemic planning. Like having an adequate supply of essential PPE... rather than a warehouse full of masks, gowns, face shields... we traded that common sense for a couple of quarters of corporate dividends and $1.50 of earnings per share.

The administrative leadership of the medical community should be questioned along with governmental leaders...

I think part of the problem is that we got into this mindset where any spare capacity in our healthcare systems was seen as inefficiency. Also I don't think it's a coincidence that the people that did best with this virus were the South Koreans because they had been through it before. We couldn't learn from them because they are South Korean and we'll make our own mistakes. I bet we get really good at dealing with the next one which is fortunate because it will likely be around November this year when this one bounces back.

I guess we don't know for absolute sure at the moment but it really looks as though one trend across countries is that those with populist leaders who lie a lot aren't handling this well.

Ironically enough, South Korea also has some of the best Internet service on the planet, so if they had been locked down for months on end, at least they would be better equipped to deal with that as well as the pandemic itself.
