Interesting response... so a guy who has or had a poorly informed opinion on smoking, questions about climate change and doesn't want to federally fund programs for HIV infected drug addicts' and the sexually confused... disqualifies him from leading a pandemic task force..?

I'm not saying these guys are doing an amazing job, nor are they the best to be leading this pandemic response. It appears y'all don't understand the dynamics of leadership... the most effective leaders aren't always experts in the area in which they lead... in most cases they successfully bring in a combination of people with the necessary skills and people with the ability to get shit done. That's how delegated leadership functions and in this case it's many layers deep.

In most cases the results are what matters most... not the personalities, nor what unrelated crap they bring to the table...

But the results are not good!

You are making excuses for people who may literally cause your death.

They are doing worse at this than you would have and it's their job. They all caught it. Look at the governments that caught it and those that didn't - it couldn't be clearer.

I don't understand how you can possibly think that these people are doing a good job on this and it's about to get much much worse.

Not making excuses for anyone... I just have a very different perspective of the total picture of this. I work for a health insurance company and can see many facets of this pandemic from a local, county, state, regional and federal level. All working on the same problem... but with very different roles, capabilities, scope... plus results.

My point was there are aspects that have had positive results and aspects that are failures. What happens at a federal level in Washington is very different than what battles are waged in your local city. You really can't go blaming one entity for things going well or things going disastrously.

I really don't see any leadership entity globally that has a handle on this... don't you have to have some measure of success for comparative purposes to make a valid claim of failure..?

She's probably holding on to it, in the event that her vote might be needed against whatever dumbass stunts Yertle McTurtle might pull during the "lame duck session". I would guess that she will formally resign whenever that lame duck session ends, since her new gig doesn't officially start until January 20 anyway. Then whomever Gavin Newsome picks to replace her can get sworn in with all the other new Senators when the "new" Congress begins in January.

There is the official process that hasn't been completed yet...

States certifying their votes, electoral college casting their votes, Congress certifying the election... then inauguration January 20th.

Contrary to what you see/hear... Biden/Harris haven't officially been elected to office yet.
