Twitter is permanently banning President Trump from the platform, the company announced late Friday. The ban comes days after Twitter temporarily locked Mr. Trump's account.

"After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence," the company said in a statement.

Mr. Trump was known to frequently use Twitter to drive the news cycle, attack political opponents and announce policy changes. But he also used the platform to share unfounded claims of voter fraud, which ultimately led to his removal from the platform.

Twitter is the first social media account to permanently bar Mr. Trump from their platform. Earlier in the week, Facebook, Instagram, Twitch and Snapchat all temporarily disabled Mr. Trump's accounts for "inciting violence."

Even with all the calls for invoking the 25th amendment and impeachment... I still don't believe any of that will come to fruition. Too many legal hurdles with both and frankly with less than 12 days left, there's better things to spend their time on.

I also question the value for 2024... there's enough vindictive parties that will be making Trump's life hell starting on January 21st. Add to that, no constraints on the man himself after leaving office. I see his popularity falling not rising to win reelection in 4 years.

I hope to see a group of far better candidates for POTUS in 2024 than we've seen in years.

The problem is that he controls the nuclear "Football" for two weeks and is completely unhinged and realizes what he faces after the 20th...

Then some people started breaking windows and going through them. Oddly enough you had Capitol police opening doors letting groups of people in. Read what you want but the security sucked.

Why may it suck? They were going to hold hearings on election fraud before certifying the electoral votes. Who’s over the US Capitol Police? The House Speaker.

He was contesting the election results. He wanted a big crowd of people in Washington DC to show that his supporters wanted election integrity. Several states wanted to re-certify their electoral votes. There were going to be hearings held with witnesses testifying that voter fraud took place.

So having a crowd raid the Capitol due to very poor security did away with everything Trump was trying to do. So he had nothing to gain from it. He ended up where he is now.

The Chinese Communist Party have to be celebrating like crazy. They will have a compromised puppet in the Executive Branch and a very infiltrated US Congress. The only thing keeping them from running roughshod over the world is us.
