If only Dave had stayed in his lane on the rest of the songs, like he did those two, would have made for a much better show.

Still find it hard to believe that it took them 30 years to get Drop Dead Legs in the set list in the first place. Not that I would have wanted Hagar or Cherone to sing it, of course. But they should have been playing it in 1984. And again in 2007.

The distorted bass playing the rhythm guitar part at the end of DDL really works. The reason I looked this up as I was thinking about finally learning it on guitar and wondered how they had done it live. Another way would be a looper pedal.

Then I was struck by actually how good this is. I think at the time a lot of people were concentrating on the weak points rather than the songs that were being done well.

Also I love the backing vocals.

I know that's a funny thing to say when they are 'sub par' without Michael Anthony but I love that they are 2 guys singing live in tune while playing instruments without using samples, offstage singers, extra onstage singers or whatever.

So rare these days among any of their contemporaries to do this.

It's great that they finished on such a great show.

I'm looking at reviews and comments from the night and they were super positive.

            Maybe they should release this.

At 10:22 imagine you are the roadie who tuned Dave's guitar to the wrong key and just got that look...

I was going to say super professional how it was recovered but after almost 40 years they should be able to do that during a nuclear attack without blinking...

I was actually surprised that Ed & Wolf pulled it off. Mikey's backgrounds were a big part of the studio version, so I thought that was probably why wouldn't play it on the 2007/08 or 2012/13 tours. But when they finally committed to playing it live, damned if they didn't deliver.

Ok maybe skip DTNA and Little Guitars but this was a great show even on YouTube.

It would be just like the VH camp to release this while ignoring a release from the glory days.

As part of a dual release with a glory days show, or even a box set, I'd be all for it. Otherwise, I'm not interested. I'll just watch it on YouTube.

In 2007 they were piping in some background vocals, but as the tour went on, they slowly lessened it until they got comfortable.

I was lucky enough to sit in on the whole soundcheck at The Palace show in 2007. As I've stated before, it was a closed soundcheck. Arena staff weren't even allowed in. In fact, I was standing talking to Doug, the sound man, and Ed comes out to talk to him. He looks at me, then asks Doug "Who's he?" Anyway, Wolf sang lead on every song. He did a commendable job. Of course he didn't sound anything like Dave, but it was obvious the kid could sing.

I have to give it up for pre-dead Ed. Can you possibly imagine the amount of patience he must have had to tolerate Roth's singing?
