The most ironic thing about this ridiculously improbable scenario?? It's virtually identical to the plan that some members of the Hillary PUMA cult spread around in 2017, thinking they could remove Cheeto from office, using the same plan...

Regardless of your party affiliation... that's a delusional plan with no chance of being put into play. Just plain stupid...

I think it's partly being used as a way to raise money but it seems likely to be doing a lot of damage to the Republican party.

No matter what polling and political magic shows get put up... I don't see a path for Trump returning to an elected office in Washington, especially the presidency.

I seriously doubt he'd pursue a lessor path as a congressman... don't believe his ego could stomach such a role after having served as POTUS.

My opinion is the establishment GOP will use Trump to win back the House and Senate in 2022 then immediately distance themselves from him. They'll quietly turn their support and money flow to one of the top rising people in the GOP such as McCarthy, Noem, DeSantos or Halley for 2024.

Several former Trump advisors have balked at Trump being a Congressman, as in "that's like real work, and he's a lazy cunt" type thing...

You actually believe these people work? Come on Nickdelusional. Just because they "work" harder than you, doesn't mean they work hard.

What’s really going on is there is a outsiders vs insiders political war starting. You have a lot of people who feel they aren’t being represented by either political establishment. You had the Bernie movement on the left and the Trump movement on the right. It’s bigger than The Bern or MAGA. You will see other people run but one thing for sure, people are sick and tired of the professional politician and the whole political insider establishment.

That is a relevant point that a large amount of people got a taste of what a non-establishment politician can bring to Washington... and they want more.

On the other hand, I feel Trump's election was an anomaly that caught the establishment off-guard and complacent in their over-confidence that some clown who wasn't a career politician could actually beat the pants off of them. But... the establishment woke up and it's fueled their motivation to avoid that mistake again... at any cost. Just look at all the failed desperation invested to remove Trump from office...

I think for now, many top Republican leaders don't want to lose the fuel that Trump's support generates... but I don't believe they really want to remain attached to the man and the opposition fuel he generates from the other side. That's a hell of a balancing act...
