Getting the whole Van Haggis catalogue dehaggissed like this would be cool.

Yeah, some of them had potential. Not this one though, I think Dave would have sent it back during pre-production quality control.

and not all that original even. The riff was basically recycled from the Montrose song "Make it Last", which was actually written by Hagar (he claims it was the song he played for Ronnie Montrose at his audition for that band)

There were usually at least a couple tracks on each Van Hagar album that strictly in terms of what the guitar and drums were doing I thought sounded decent.

Sadly, much of what Eddie was coming up with after Dave left weren't things I would particularly have wanted to heard Dave make a run at...like, it was never the case with the bulk of the Van Hagar music where I felt it would have naturally lent itself to what the band was doing when Dave was in it.

I’m just saying removing Hagars vocals immediately makes the song of much higher quality….

Dave could have turned this into another “secrets”

Source of Infection would have been another HFT with Dave singing over it

Far as what the guitar is doing on the Cabo Wabo track, I like it.

When I first heard SOF way back when the OU812 album was released, I immediately thought it was a HFT ripoff. Which kinda struck me odd in that Van Hagar had to start ripping off Van Halen only 2 albums in?
