The least interesting player to come out of the Yardbirds to my ears.

Doubtless, the stuff he did with Cream was great in its time, but haven't had much use for much of anything he has done since the mid-1970s, and truth be told I can't recall the last time I had a desire to listen to his stuff. Mostly, because I've always thought the guy was more than a bit overrated, both as a guitarist and a songwriter. However, for years and years you couldn't express such thoughts because everyone would pounce on you. "Eric Clapton is the greatest blues guitarist, ever!!" Mmmmm, no. He really wasn't. Not even close. Yet for decades seemingly everybody treated him like some semi-divine musician. His anti-vax stance is small potatoes for me in terms of giving him a pass, because by and large I've found the bulk of his output...pretty pedestrian and boring.

"Oooh, I'm Eric Clapton. Watch me stand there, close my eyes and look soulful while I play a blues pentatonic scale!" Yawn.

        Just my opinion.

        He was amazing with Cream.

Saw a special which explained most of his behavior. While in Cream, he wanted to be in "The Band." After Derek and the Dominos, he went downhill.

Saw his video about how the vaccine messed him up. He is probably in pretty weak shape healthwise. Just like most people. Can't blame him for complaining about getting messed up from the vax. He needs to improve his health.

Changing the subject/just a thought. What if people who already had COVID get the vax. The vax will be very mild to them.

I was watching the concert video of the most recent Cream reunion and thinking how great these guys are and "why didn't they do it more often"? Turns out they all hate each other, especially Ginger Baker thought Clapton is a massive cunt even without the political stuff...

Seems like all these bandmates hate each other.

              I don’t think Ginger Baker liked anyone…
