Now that she has survived that, along with whatever the legal dramas with her daddy were, she'll probably be torturing us all on the Di$ney payroll for decades.

Ah, the good old days when the average shelf life of a bubblegum pop singer was 18 months, 2 years if they were lucky.

It’s crazy we’ve been here 20 years…. And a million flame wars. I was here at the beginning and now I’m here for the end of Dave’s career. Ok.

Here are my thoughts.

Dave does not want to be an opening band. It was ok to be an opener for KISS because they pre-date him. When he was asked to open for Motley Crue, his ego was bruised.

He knows that he cannot headline a show as a solo artist anymore. He can headline only as the singer for Van Halen, which will never return. So, he retires. He is probably retiring from touring. He may play some live shows, but I think the promoters won't pay for him as a solo act.

I would love more studio music.

I don't think he has any life-threatening illnesses. Although he has a number of chronic conditions.

I think physically Dave just cant do it anymore.

You really have to put in perspective the toll that Dave put on his body throughout the years. I mean the guy was basically a superhero on stage doing these Spider-Man like moves and so on.

No one was doing shit like that. Splits jumps off the 12 ft drum riser 100 shows every tour is mind boggling.

High endurance and high impact performers like Dave are very much like sports athletes. They have no choice but to slow down and stop.
