Dave was the best thing that ever happend to Eddie Van Halen...
Who cares what you have to say ??
I'm really curious about the economics of these shows. The gross for the 5 shows to 1800 people is probably $8 or $9 million which is nuts. You can see the attraction for artists to play smaller rooms in Vegas. Why sit on tour buses and pay for all that shit of truckloads of crew and lights and all the security needed for a 20K arena crowd when you can sit in the best suite in a 5* Vegas hotel a short walk from the venue and have the money come to you each night?
So he will have his band rehearsing now 5 days a week until the shows, and if he is true to previous solo gigs he may turn up to a couple of rehearsals late December.
He's said it himself that it takes him a while to get into tour mode so tempting though those New Years gigs may be, if it was me I would try and get tickets for the last or second last.
What were the prices for Dave last year in Vegas ??
At least Dave is doing things the right way.
Saw the other day that Sammy is saying he's having dreams where he talks to Eddie...

Hmmm...
I have a bad feeling we might not even get the final shows. I think Dave will either not be around by then or they will be postponed and Dave won’t be healthy enough to perform, and in typical late fashion we will find out Alex and Mike were both ready to do it….. too little too late as always. I hate to be pessimistic, but it looks like VH is ready to do the Ramones thing where every member drops dead one by one consecutively. Ed’s dad died at age 66…Ed was 65 three months shy of 66… Dave’s dad died at 67….. Dave turns 67 in a week….
I shouldn't have thanked you for that but I did...
Good points...

Where does it say Al is showing up?
I took it as Dave telling Al he was done.
Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.
I'll be at all the shows.
Endings suck but make it a fucking party and then fight like hell whatever health stuff is going on.
Very likely. These days he's looking about 20 years younger than Paul. Even though he's actually two years older. Ironically, Ringo was so sick as a child the doctors told his parents he wouldn't see his 10th birthday. So he's been on borrowed time for 70 years now, arguably.
Would have been nice had Dave played a larger venue than Hard Rock Vegas (and he could have filled a larger venue for 5 shows easily with his announcement)... prices for the Hard Rock are outrageous at this point.

Dave is having back problems apparently, but who said he was seriously ill?
So this "real music observer" turd on YouTube cites an article about the retirement that was posted on some Indian (dot not feather Indian, call center not casino Indian) news site.
WHERE in that recorded statement does that come up?Roth also revealed that the original Van Halen drummer Alex Van Halen will be part of his band for the final five dates in January.
Dave says "I've got a band that is doing what Al and I used to call a 'block,' that means 75 rehearsals for one show. We are bringing it in classic VH style."
Dave and his backing band are going to bring it in classic VH style. Not that he and Al are bringing it in classic VH style.
When did you ever see Al sit in with anyone without Ed? Ed did a few things here and there. NAMM show jams, that thing on VH1 with Itchie Sambora, Beat It, the Thomas Dolby tracks, producing Private Life.
When January comes and I'm wrong I will admit I was wrong. When I'm proven right I won't gloat but you all can kiss my ass

You're probably right. I haven't heard anything from Dave that Al is in. Call it wishful thinking from fans, or a desperate attempt to get attention by losers with a youtube channel.
I expect Dave to bring everything that he has to these last shows, and I'll be very surprised if there are no special guests at the last show.
Yeah, it looks like some third rate "music media" wannabe sites took Dave's cryptic comments about Alex and jumped to their own conclusions. It's certainly possible to interpret Dave's comments that way, but irresponsible as Hell to write an article with a definite statement that Al is playing the gig, based on that interpretation with zero corroborating evidence. If one were to read this much into Dave's comments, he also said that he "won't speak for Al", which would imply that Alex would have to verify for himself whether or not he would be involved in the shows.
But when was the last time Alex Van Halen did an interview?? So, it's highly unlikely that anybody got confirmation from him. Or denial, for that matter.
I fucking hate that douchebag “harmless Dave” a total fucking Hagar loyalist. In another video he’s entertaining the idea that VH should carry on with Hagar, Alex, Mike and Wolf on guitar.
He’s been trashing Dave on his channel for years…. He also just said the guitar player from Chicago is better than Ed lol

The "real music observer" tool is such an obvious Hagar sheep that he makes Eddie Trunk look reasonable, by comparison.
Yeah, he's old.
Yeah, that's a completely valid interpretation. I just read it as Dave being Dave and saying as little as possible. Sort of like he did a couple of years ago when he commented on the "end of Van Halen' and said "Eddie has his story to tell" without actually coming out and saying that Eddie's health was rapidly going downhill and he wasn't able to tour.
Roth is going to be deader than slave FORD's social safety net soon. Roth more than hinted at it himself. My guess? Some sort of intestinal cancer. Otherwise, why would Al be speaking to him? Those two hate the bejesus fuck out of each other. Something is a (Big)foot here.
