Jim Beam is smoother. Jack Daniel’s is watered down to 80 proof these days. It used to be 90 proof. I like Wild Turkey 101. It’s never changed and it’s better than Jack or Jim.

They have several like this. Honey, cinnamon, and they are soon to come out with a caramel flavored whiskey. I rarely drink myself especially hard liquor after one shot of this I nearly puked. Whiskey should taste like...whiskey.

I know. It’s an abomination. That being said there are some excellent whiskies being made. I like single barrel uncut bourbons myself. As far as hard liquor goes I buy the good stuff.

I used to go down to Mexico a lot in my misspent youth and hang out in Jalisco and drink mezcal. I’m kicking myself because someone is importing the mezcal I used to drink and has made a fortune. I used to buy the stuff for 3000 pesos a bottle which was about a dollar.

They make some good hooch in Mexico. I’ve had some excellent brandy down there.

Never been much of a whiskey fan. Flavored booze probably works better with the vodka model anyway.

I don't need candy syrup in my vodka either. There are some craft vodkas here made from Teton glacier water that are quite good.

Nothing wrong with Irish hooch. When I was there most people drank Murphy's stout instead of Guiness but either are good in my book. Nothing wrong with Irish whiskey and if they are turning Bushmill's into Jolly Rancher flavors someone really needs to be clubbed.

I never got the Jagermeister thing. That stuff tastes like cough syrup. The Germans make some good beer and wine but their hard liquor kind of sucks.

One of my favorite fun drinks is Ouzo. Man. I've gone to the moon and back on that stuff.
