Do you know by chance if that interview around the @26:40 minute-mark is from '84, '85 post-VH or '86? Hard to tell and want to know so I can label my bootleg collection accurately (YouTube comments are turned off so can't ask the poster).

I'm not sure like you there were a few little bits I hadn't seen before and that was one. Feels like late VH to me but someone on here will know for sure..

From what he said, he was inferring that Van Halen were still together at that point, so I'm thinking late 1984 or early 1985.

But that was one of the few clips in the video I hadn't seen before, so I'm not 100% as to exactly when. It looks like it could be an interview given for the CFTH EP release.

I think that clip at 26:40 you mention is reminiscent of an interview from maybe '82 or thereabouts?

Looks like something I had on an old VHS that I bought before 1984 ... he says, '9 years after the fact' when referring to how long they had been going. So 1973 + 9 = 1982??

                I agree.

Sometimes I think back to those days. As a kid watching all of this unfold on TV. Reading newspapers and rock magazines to get the latest on your favorite bands, etc.

We are in an age of information overload. There really isn't any joy or anticipation with anything these days. Things come in fast and that's it.

Yeah I remember programming the VCR to record a lot of MTV stuff so I could watch it later. At the time I had a day job and was playing in clubs 6-7 nights a week. I'd come home at 2am and catch up on what I'd missed so I could wind down to get to work at 8:30 the next morning...

I guess when I listened to it I missed the first few seconds where he said that (even though it's only a minute long lol).

Or '83 if he counts '74 as their first year. And if he's being exact. He does look similar to that (hilarious) interview he did with that Doug guy from '82, you're right. With the baseball hat and pony tail. And if you remember getting that tape prior to '84...then that must be it. Thanks.
