No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!
Did Dave fuck Wolfie's then fiancee or something?
Fat bottomed girls make the world go round.

"I met these two dames at the corner of 'Hot & Mess'." LOL What? Dave fucked The Human League? @2:30

GREAT episode! Interesting stuff
I dunno. I stopped watching around :30 in when he sent his pup out.
Saw that before and maybe it was a different herding clip (always impressed
by herding dogs & their verbal/non-verbal commands) but not enough to
make me want to hang in there.
And he really should come up with a new intro rather than keep using any of
those goofy overall wearing shuffle goofball cap clips. Fer christ sakes the scooby
dooby doo days probably have very little appeal to even hardcore fans so at least
try'n get some interest from someone who isn't a coal miner's daughter.
Dave shared some guys cover of Jump.
Original video:
The opening 30 seconds sounds nice, then it kinda goes off the rails.
This was supposed to be for the Drawing Board post.
Looks like Dave is recycling... his video is from the One Piece Thermo-Molded Country Plastic Chair song with the Jump cover. It works... sorta. I prefer the Chair song though.
"If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”
I remember a YT clip of some bar band doing a cover of Jump in the style of the mashup with John Lennon's Imagine, and I thought it was great.
Some dude in the bar shouted out 'David Lee Roth will be turning in his grave ...', which was funny. But I guess he would not be turning in his grave, cos it was actually a comliment to DLR, cos what that mashup revealed that was that Jump could be thought of as two songs meshed into one - Dave's lyrics and melody, and EVH's kepboard and guitar parts.
THINK LIKE THE WAVES
I happened upon this entirely by accident, but way to go Janie ...

I think there's a newer dancing videos in here mixed with old.
No Holds BBQ clip
Even sadder, that awful “fight the power” loop ruining what sounds like the cleanest version of this song I’ve yet to hear!
Did he write this one? Never knew the backstory, but always dug the groove and some of the lyrics.
Looking at the comments - a few folk seeing this as pro Trump I find weird because rock music and this specifically is anti authoritarian but anyway why would anyone be influenced one way or another by a rock star?
Also so many people think this is new.
Anyway I think it's fun.
I see it as Roth setting his money on fire and dancing around the flames.
Yeah, Roth is no Trump-supporter. He has (in the past) labeled himself as somewhat conservative...but not far-right shit. He made fun of the GOP for the Supreme Court abortion reversal.
Hagar is a Trumper. Roth has made it pretty fucking clear that he isn't.
(And I'm not saying all this shit just to start up a fucking political debate, thank you very much.)
Welp, "new":
YouTube comments are a bit mixed. We're approaching 40 years since CFTH and there are still a bunch of people shocked and appalled any time Dave doesn't do a heavy rock tune...
yeah, I heard that Scotch and Sofa thing and thought that this is just a thing Dave does.
But I am probably in a minority in preferring his demo version of Honeybabysweetydoll - which has a dance tune backing music and a low key speak-sing vocal - to the version recorded by VH on ADKOT. I don't care if Ed and Wolfgang were tapping in unison at the start and it achieves some measure of heaviosity in other parts. By the time they had done that, that is all it was - they obliterated the Dave song that it was bolted on to (I assume that is how it worked - Dave says ' here's a song I have' and they put some rehased VHIII music underneath / over it).
I thought it was going to end with Dave making sausage out of the stalker in his basement. Well when you thought Dave couldn’t get more weird he raises the bar and clears it.
I'd never thought about it like that - you do have a point. I would counter though that a hell of a lot of the song Dave had was this
It's possible that Dave did it subconsciously and it's also possible that Ed and Wolf never knew about the Lords of Acid song but to my ear LOA win any copyright case. It's one thing sticking stuff like that on the BBQ video or even the Diamond Dave album but something with the high profile of a Van Halen reunion is a lot more likely to attract some legal pushback.
A few minutes in Roth says that Wolfgang is upset 40 years later about his assless chaps look.
Did he get just mistake Wolfgang for Mike Anthony?

If so that's a Trump/Biden style old man mistake to make...
Dave is getting old and the older he gets the weirder he gets.
