That guitar never was a main guitar of Eddie’s. Eddie made his number one and number two guitars himself at the Kramer factory. Number one had a star on the headstock and number two had two stars and was used if Eddie broke a string. Number one was his main axe and used most the time.

The other Kramer’s were not made by Ed. They were spares. Some went on tour and were hardly used. Ed gave them away usually to friends and donated a couple to places like the Hard Rock Cafe. The guitar just sold was one of the spares but not one of the two Ed built guitars. Ed gave number two to Wolfgang for a Christmas present. I’m sure WoLfgang inherited number one after his dad died. Those guitars are not going to hit the auction block until someone inherits them who would rather have the money than the guitar. That’s going to be awhile.
