It's a ridiculous statement by you I think. These politicized inidctments are pure show and almost no chance of succeeding. If they do, it will only be in a short term. It would probably be easier to bring these indictments in the UK because we don't have political appointments of judges and prosecutors. The problem with having that is there is always this accusation of bias so how do you prosecute a politician? Secondly the waters get muddied by the US president being the head of state. You should consider though that the Georgia case isn't federal and in all the cases most of the witnesses are Republicans.

If you want to take the politics out of it go straight to the well, ignore all the spin and read the Florida indictment rather than letting journalists of either side put their spin on it. If you read the text it looks like the most slam dunk legal case of all time and then you need to ask yourself is even if you think ex presidents should be above the law is it all right for one to to do what he did?

Watched round 2... my take-aways:

Best performance... Dana Perino. She showed the highest level of assertive leadership in managing the candidates overall.

Most articulate and has a clue on some critical issues - Bergum... he really has a better grasp on some of the key critical issues based on reality rather than political talking points/bullshit. Unfortunately he doesn't have a chance at getting the nomination.

Time to pack it in...

Christi - duck shit don't fly and there's a reason he's not headlining comedy clubs.

Pence - old school conservatism and "let me just say this while I bore you to death..."

Scott - really great guy and positive message, plus he's chaired many committees... lol

Vivek - great enthusiasm, but blew it royally by trying to sound more political and even more full of shit invoking Reganisms... the country is not ready to be governed by a TikTok Muppet... the Washington swamp will eat that guy for breakfast.

Overall... DeSantis and Haley remain the top of this group. I think DeSantis has the best leadership capabilities/record, but I like Haley's fight and fire when she goes into battle mode... plus she has better taste in drapes!

Seems apt, though I haven't bothered watching either debate (or even abridged clips from either debate) so I can't really say.

About the only chance as of right now I can see of any of these jokers getting a shot at the nomination all depends on what Trump does or doesn't do in the next 6 months, as opposed to any of the other candidates getting the nomination from an actual groundswell based on their campaigns/skills as a candidate.

First primary/caucus is in...what...January? Three months left, with some of these second-tier folks seeing their funding drying up and nobody outside of DeSantis currently able to crack the 10% ceiling, with DeSantis only just barely in low double digits after dropping almost 30 points since January, and Trump hovering around 55% currently? A reasonable person can recognize a good perspective presented by a competitor and agree, plus show appreciation for their position. In this case, Ramaswamy has a very compelling take on identity politics. I wish more people thought the way he does on that specific subject!

On the flip side Haley opposes Ramaswamy's ideas involving TikTok and social media... it's a fair assessment/position. Doesn't mean she hates the man... just the idea/position.

We need to discourage this binary trend of disagreement equating to hating a person... that's not healthy and no way to conduct a reasonable life.
