I left a comment under Wolfgang's CREED announcement...I cannot for the life of me remember what I said...but something to the effect of "By this point in his dad's career, he was about to play the US Festival. Wolfgang is...opening for Creed."

I just logged onto my Twitter account and saw that...

When I logged in this morning and saw a notification, I clicked on it and saw the following (under Valerie Jr.'s Twitter account):

I want to thank the Academy.
I want to thank the record-buying public for agreeing with me that his records are not very good.
I want to thank the Bertinelli family for making me feel that I, the little man, can piss off the largest man living in Coldwater Canyon, California.
I want to thank Doordash for continuing to give Wolfgang the nourishment he needs (e.g. hero sandwiches, MSG-laden Chinese food, cheese fries) to maintain his 400 lb. figure.
I want to thank Von for coming up with the name Valerie Jr., a name I will continue to use proudly when referring to a man who makes Julian Lennon look like a cutting-edge industry figure (at least he had 3 hit singles).
I want to thank Valerie Jr.'s uncle for managing Wolfgang so badly that at this point in his career, he is only able to brag about opening for Creed.
I want to thank myself for having my own home studio even without having a Dad who actually was musically-talented.
But...mostly...I want to thank Valerie Jr. himself, for proving why there aren't almost any negative comments in his Twitter feed, even after he insults Van Halen fans far & wide.

P.S. This also comes full-circle. In 1996, I wrote an angry (and, this is me, LONG) message to the Van Halen Mailing List, ranting about how stupid the band is for cancelling the Dave reunion. I outlined the whole ton of reasons concerning why this was a massive mistake and why the band will end up in the gutter by doing this, having pissed off not only ALL the Dave fans but also even the Ched-heads...and be left with bantha fodder when this whole Cherone thing is done. IN RESPONSE, Valerie herself (who posted regularly to the mailing list) personally told me off and said I did not know what I was talking about. I proudly said to Valerie Bertinelli: "Fuck you!!!" Tour manager Scotty Ross also relied to my tome, calling it "zeal"!!(?) I responded with another wise, "Fuck you!!"...... I now feel an even greater kinship with the Bertinelli clan than I ever did before and I am so proud.

P.P.S. Meanwhile, back in the real world, this message is long enough...and I have to drop my daughter to school.
