OFFICIAL POLLSTAR NUMBER FOR ROTH/Hagar 2002 TOUR

As I've stated before I'm a numbers nut. Don't know why but I've always been into the nubmers of music. I have in my posession the Pollstar 2002 TOP 100 tours of the year and here are the numbers for the ROTH/Hagar tour. The tour reported 41 shows and sold 308,681 total tickets. The per night average was 7,528. Since the Hagar fans will probably think I'm lying and I doubt you'd be able to pull it up at this point on the net all I can say is I'm looking right at the damn thing. The tour finished at number 50 out of the top 100 tours. The gross according to Pollstar was 9,6 MILLION dollars. Don't know why I never thought to put it up before, I printed this report on January 15,2003 so my guess is it's not around anymore but the numbers listed above are straight from the report.

How much do you think Sammy or Dave made on that? I trust that they split it equally.

          EQUAL SPLIT

Yeah my guess would be it was an equal split. Of course my guess is also that Roth did more at the merchandise counter than Hagar, I have no proof but just a feeling. It cracks me up when the VHagar losers on the board try to act like Dave "needs" money. I met Ron Wikso a few years back and we talked for a few minutes. He told me about working with Dave and one of the things I remember him saying (aside from the fact that he had a blast) was that Dave was "loaded" financially and basically did whatever he wanted to whenever he wanted to in regards to tours and recording and such. Also I've spoken to a friend of mine who is still in contact with Ray L and my friend said that Ray told him that the coolest part about touring with Dave aside from the music was everything (travel accomodations, meals, lodging etc) was totally 1st class. I highly doubt Dave needs money at all. I think (like Wikso said) Dave just does basically whatever he wants when he gets the desire to do so.

Dave stated a long time ago that he doesn't have to listen to his wallet anymore when it came to making music.

            Dave fucking rules, fucking period.

(Almost out of work for the weekend, getting fired up)
