When our son was born (1 year ago next tuesday), our cat started to be jealous and acting weird on us. She started to pee regularely on our bed, exactly where I would lay down to breast feed...

Anyway, 3 months and 2 king size comforters later, we sadly decided to give her away to our widdowed aunt and it made her very happy. She also had an old 18 years old female cat that was going outside but didn't let our indoor cat go out at all.

One day, the old cat cought a virus that she transmitted to our cat. After many attempts to save their lives, they both died!

Last night, we where annnounced the bad news at my Mom. in law's and we both had tears in our eyes... we are very sad. And the poor aunt is devastated (she had to take sleeping pills for a couple weeks)!

I'm happy to inform y'all that the new family is doing well, and enjoying what most would construe as "a perfect situation."

The whole lot of 'em would probably be "up for adoption" if I hadn't made a clear and concise case the other day.

It wasn't really like PETA came calling...just a couple of cat-loving dipshits.

After a brief interview, I was made to expose the conditions the fucking cat family were trying to live in. The Indigo Girl posse couldn't fucking believe that we had classical music playing. The first tuna mouth went, "do you realize that radio in the hall is on?" I calmly explained that the radio was only on during waking hours, and classical music had a profound effect on newborns in general. I went on to ask the bitch if she had ever dealt with an actual newborn.

Being confused by this random query, the first tuna mouth went, "I'll ask the questions." I said something like, "no problem, where do you live?"

Long story short, the young feline family is still under our care, and thriving.

You wouldn't beleive how much I appreciate people that care for animals the way you do...
Besides the obvious misstreaters, there are always the ones who will treat pets as if they where accessories or toys for children.

A good friend of mine (wich I call the "crazy cat lady"), has always between 4 and 8 cats in her big house. She volunteers at a shelter and when the superior decision is made to kill them for lack of space, she gets sucked into taking them home... all the time!

The shelter won't let cats be adopted by families that are not suitable and sometimes, the stories that they hear are just outrageous!


I can't wait to see pics. of those kittens... Good luck finding nice and loving "parents" for them!

My oldest cat (Stonehenge) was the runt of her litter...funny thing was, at the time I had a bunch of roomies, and one took in one of her brothers, too.
Despite the fact she was smaller, she used to beat the shit out of him on a regular basis.
And she is one of the smartest cats I've ever encountered. I have to "Stoney-proof" things in my place,
because she will figure out how to open cabinets, doors, crazy shit....and is SOOOO proud of herself when she does something like that, it cracks me up.
Woke up one morning recently to find she had opened up the kitchen cabinet, pulled her 4 lbs. bag of food out (bags of treats too) and was trying to figure out how to open the bag...
I was like "You don't have thumbs, stupid. Give it up...."

Our cat Skunk (cuz he smelled like ass when we rescued him) would climb up on the counter and open the cabinet where we kept his catnip. He figured out how to open it alright. He just chewed right through the damn bag. That cat was cool. He had long silky black fur and a gigantic bushy tail, big teeth that extended way past his chin, a very muscular build, and he walked with a friggin' swagger. Woulda been the epitome of a he-cat, but when he opened his mouth, he had the gayest high-pitched meow I've ever heard. He got sick during Hurricane Floyd and there was no way to get him to a vet
