EDDIE VAN HALEN: Like Father, Like Son

Rolling Stone magazine reports: "It's the greatest feeling in the world to have your son follow in your footsteps," said Eddie Van Halen, whose son Wolfgang has been jamming on the instrumental "316" at recent VAN HALEN shows. "I'm the luckiest man on the planet. More important, I never pushed him. I just created an environment for him to flourish." Wolfie is just as stoked. "Ever since I was little, I've been surrounded by music," says the thirteen-year-old. "It's my life. It's an amazing feeling playing onstage with my dad. It's also fun showing people I can play guitar — even though I'm better on drums. But I'm gonna keep practicing the guitar and hopefully become as good as my dad, maybe even better. Someone's gotta carry on the family name."




Hope he doesn't follow his Dad's drinking.

I think Eddie's kid is gonna be really fucked up because he'll never know what a childhood is. He's gonna get used to Daddy always being there, and personally, I think that's irresponsible of Eddie.
