Cnn News: David Lee Roth Forms 'the New Van Halen'

CNN NEWS: Flambuoyant rock vocalist David Lee Roth has announced at a press conference this afternoon that he has officially reformed a "New Van Halen". Reports say Roth, 48, got 'fed up with depriving the real fans of real music' and has enlisted his former bandmate bassist Billy Sheehan, current drummer Ray Luzier and the most surprising of the lineup, Eddie Van Halen's own son, Wolfgang. Wolfgang was quoted as saying that "since my dad and uncle weren't going to reunite with Dave, I'm not gonna sit around and wait for a reunion". Roth has concluded that there will be an ensuing world tour, studio and live CD to be released in the near future. Eddie and Alex Van Halen were unavailable for comment.

Does anyone know if Wolfgang inherited any of his dad's musical skills? Maybe we can conduct a world wide search for a son of Dave (he has to have at least one) and we can create a Van Halen:The Next Generation. Maybe our generation will never have a real Van Halen again (which Van Hagar is certainly not), but at least our children and our children's children will have a real Van Halen!!

Id pay to see Dave live regardless...but anywhoo. I saw the show live. Wolfie can play...but he is still shy and unsure. I think it will take someone like Dave to teach Wolfie how to truly enjoy the spotlight to make him a star.

Gosh when i read this ... i got so very excited... i was so happy and i could feel my heart beating faster, i thought this thing was for real,
Im new to Van Halen, im 19 im into alot of the newer stuff, like AFI and TigerArmy and pop rock bands like simple plan and even Avril lol.

Ive allways like classic rock and stuff, like Queen and Led Zeppelin, and ive heard Van Halen lots of times, but i never was INTO it...
its actually David Lee Roth who i most am interested in, the music is great,... I REALLY BELIEVED IT WAS TRUE...lol

And i think some of the people who might not seem to have a sense of humor about this, prolly do have a sense of humor, sure, but i think they might of believed this a little a first too... and like maybe it was a big let down to them, becouse maybe they really love David Lee Roth and the original Van Halen.

I felt real disappointed when i found out it was just a joke.
But who knows, maybe one day David Lee Roth will come out with a brand new album with ALL-new songs and go on tour and becomes a big hit again... i know he can do it.... look at AeroSmith and Steven Tyler, he can do it if he truely wishes it... David can, he if he really wants to.

Well that was cool ,even thought it was sorta saddening,
thanks for the laugh anyways.... i allways try to turn a negative to a positive, even if its something that disappoints me lol
