    NO EXCITEMENT

Yeah this "reunion" is not generating hardly any excitement. When Kiss reunited in 96' it was huge, all over the place. Same for The Eagles back in the early 90's. Ditto F Mac a couple of years ago on their first reunited tour. VAN HAGAR is simply not exciting people in a manner that even comes close to the examples I have listed. I remember when ROTH came back in 96' and it looked for a while like they would reunite. Almost all the people I knew who were interested in rock were talking about it. MTV running the "welcome back" ads and so on. Hagar comes back and it's like a non story for the most part. Then his clown fans come on this board and try to act like their is some sort of mainstream excitement about this tour. It's a joke.

    Great post!

Do you know how many gigs Kiss played on the North American leg of their tour? I believe Van Hagar has stalled on 59 shows. Would be an interesting comparison.

Unlike Van Hagar, the Kiss reunion attracted enormous press, even down here. This tour and BOBW release was always going to fail. Apart from a vocal minority, nobody wanted this.

Amen, brother. Considering how stone dead this concert season is, you'd think that the music press would've been all over this like flies on shit. All the fuckin' press this band's gotten in the last four years revolved around any wild rumor about Dave rejoining VH. Finding out Hagar was back was like thinking you're going to bang the hottest cheerleader in school, only to end up with her ugly step-sister.

LMAO! That's a vote for you, sire.
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

Eddie is in such bad shape mentally, I truly believe he thought this would be a lot bigger. I doubt the vanhagar fans even wanted a retread of the best of. This is a sad attempt of someone trying to cash in on the fans. Edward is so out of touch with the fans its not even funny. The guy just seems to be happy being unhappy and lives in his own little world.

THERE IS NO VAN HALEN WITHOUT DAVID LEE ROTH.

Remember back in '96 when ED said he would NEVER tour on a Greatest Hits package??? LOL

Remember backstage at the '96 Mtv awards when Eddie blatantly expressed, "if they DID tour w/ Roth, they would have to write and record a new album"!

remember when, back in '98, Ed proclaimed he would take up the tuba if Gary Cherone left the band? LOL

hey Ed, if you wanna talk shit, you'd better be ready to eat it too...LOL

Or, like hearing you've won the lottery and the fuckers hand you a $2 check. That completely BLOWS!
