Question Sanders To Return To NFL?

Did anyone catch this on Sports Center last night?

Dion(SP) Sanders wishes to un-retire, and come play for the Baltimore Ravens...after speaking with Micheal Jordan, Sanders is convinced he can play and compete in today's league.

I say great...it'll get him off the dreadful CBS Pre-Game Show!!!

he is already off the cbs pregame....he wanted more money and they said no. thats why he was the host of that outdoors show on ESPN for like two weeks before being cencelled. the guy is unemplyed right now, not like he needs the money or anything but no contracts for him. I dont see how coming in to be a nickel back is a big deal unless he is also going to be returning punts like he did back in the day

Yeah...he said he wanted to be a part-time nickel back...

um...isn't a nickel back part time to begin with...

lmfao...so he wants to take half the snaps of a normal nickel back.

    What a moron.

Sterling Sharpe is taking over for him on CBS...and what an improvement that WILL be...

thank God everyone knows Deion is a moron...'cept Deion...

He craves the spotlight and the attention.

Finding that the TV gig doesn't pay like the NFL.

The only place for him in front of the camera is on the field.

Well, Deion wasn't exactly Prime Time when he was with the Skins...

Maybe a nickel back is more suited to him at his age, similar to Rod Woodson when he moved from CB to Safety....

When I first saw this thread, I thought for a second it was Barry Sanders. That's how much I miss the guy in the NFL, even though I know he'll never come back.

    Confirmed.

Returning to the NFL, with the Ravens, next Wednesday.

J.B. on Fox had him on his radio show. Running a 4.38 forty.

    Not sure ... but possible.

Look...Deion was a fantastic player...not a better cover man perhaps in the history of football...he really couldn't do much else...but he could make receivers disappear...

is he past his prime? Not if he's running a 4.38...

    of course...speed doesn't equal taking a hit...

and I'd have to imagine there's a few receivers (IE Hines Ward) that will love laying a block on his ass...

How many defensive players will want to play offense during nickel situations?
