Craig Kilborn leaves Late, Late Show

He walked away...and it was a good...original show...

Now Dave is looking for a replacement...

    and...

Chris Rock may be the guy?

Not a Rock fan...but would have to think that would be pretty damn big...

He apparently was in talks 7 months ago...in case Kilborn didn't come back...

    and he's not...
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."

Chris would be great, also Bill Maher or Vince Vaughn would be great. Its too bad Craig is leaving his show was extreamly entertaining.

Kilby made me laugh but he had taken that show as far as it could go.

    Well...his show was unique...

I think Jon Stewart would be a natural follow up...to Kilborn...both coming off the Daily News...and Stewart was the #2 choice to Kilborn's slot five years ago...

they say Jon Stewart and Conan O'Brien are tied up in long contracts. i heard they were maybe considering Vince Vaughn as a temporary replacement, since he did such a good job covering for Letterman. note i didn't say i thought Vaughn did a good job...

think about it, presumably anyone who takes this gig is going to end up at 11:30 someday. i don't think Letterman is going to retire any time soon. i'd almost bet Leno retires before Letterman. O'Brien reportedly wants 11:30 but NBC's got him tied up, and they aren't going to let the Carson/Letterman/Leno thing happen again.

I love Jon Stewart, I think thats why I dont want him to take over Kilborns spot. Too late. Daily Show on Comedy Central must get a larger viewership no? I remember back in, I think 95, when Jon had his show on ABC? It was late at night as well, was it not?
