Oh give him a break. His kid fell out of a high rise window and he donated a lot of money to help heroin addicts. Maybe he's out of money and needs to work and his old ass can't handle the road anymore. Whatever. His guitar work has been ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz ever since 1968.
Clapton's playing was phenomenal on this:
Clapton never played that raw or defined as he did here. But...the problem with that album is that it plain fucking sucked. More Waters whining.
Oh, and here:
Especially 'Have You Ever Loved A Woman' Problem with that album is how bad the mix sucked which is a shame knowing Tom Dowd was the one sitting behind the board.
So blow me.Comment

Montgomery, AL shatters record low set in 1889...
Montgomery Advertiser
Montgomery Alabama had the coolest July 30 since reliable record keeping began in 1872. Wednesday's low of 59 degrees shattered the previous low of 66 degrees set in 1889.
Although there were reports that Wednesday's temperature also set the record for the all-time low in July, National Weather Service meteorologist Michael Garrison said while it was the coolest temperature Montgomery had experienced in July, it didn't break the record.
"The temperature tied it, but it didn't break it," said the Birmingham meteorologist, adding that the previous all-time record was a low of 59 degrees that Montgomery experienced on July 20, 2009.
This was the third round of record-setting lows the area has seen this July.
But it has still been a hot one.
The cool weather has alternated with some very hot weather, and the result is that so far even with several record-setting lows, as of Wednesday night this was only the 69th coolest July on record, Garrison said.
And while he said much of Wednesday's low temperatures haven't been averaged in, Garrison said he'd be surprised if those figures moved the overall rankings among Montgomery's coolest.
Still, at least, it looks like the cooler temperatures we've been having will move on into August.
"Thursday will probably reach the low 90s, but it shouldn't hit 90 again for the next week or 10 days," he said. "Through the middle of next week and possibly until the end of next week, it looks like temperatures should remain anywhere from 2 to 4 degrees below average temperatures for this time of year."

June was the 352nd consecutive month in a row with temperatures that were above the global average. The last cooler-than-average month was February 1985, the month of “Careless Whisperer.” The June hot streak extends back even further, with the last cool June coming in 1976 when people were grooving to Wings’ chart topper, “Silly Love Songs.”

Death Valley was cooler than Missoula, Montana on Sunday
Death Valley, Calif., which is known for being the world’s hottest location, maxed out at a relatively chilly 89 degrees on Sunday. This temperature – nearly 30 degrees below average – was its coolest high temperature on record for the date by a whopping 15 degrees. The previous record of 104 was set in 1945.
This was only the eighth time that a high in the 80s has occurred in Death Valley in July or August, and there hasn’t been a high less than 90 since 1984. Weather records in Death Valley go back to 1911.
Locations that were hotter than Death Valley yesterday include Spokane Wash. (93), Missoula, Mont. (91), Casper, Wy. (92), and Boise, Idaho (99).
The average June high in Death Valley is 110 degrees, July is 117 degrees, and August is 115. This makes Sunday’s high temperature a ridiculous 26 degrees below normal.
Death Valley set the world’s record hottest temperature of 134 degrees on July 10, 1913.
The 89 degree high temp in Death Valley Aug 3 broke the previous record low max of 104 deg set in 1945.
The relatively cool air resulted from extensive cloud cover that blocked out the usual blistering sunshine. These clouds were a product of the Southwest Monsoon which transported unusual amounts of moisture into Southern California, where record rainfall occurred in some areas complemented by floods/mudslides in the mountains.
