Gas prices were already going to go up.

One way to look at this is that it used to be when some fascistic authoritarian started a war we could be bombed and we or our kids would be drafted. Now people complain about having to pay a bit more for fuel when they haven't been using much for the last 2 years. Not saying it's good and it hits some people a lot harder than others but still. Also aren't we trying to stop using the stuff so much anyway?
