If this is not an official release that might be good as it would put more pressure on VH to release some official stuff.

Curious that neither Amazon in the US nor HMV in Canada has any mention of it.

Looks like we are finally going to get a Van Halen live DVD and no one seems to have any interest in talking about it. Hmmm....

It would be nice to see this released in the US. Hopefully, until a North American NTSC version is released, a European residing friend will torrent this...

It is good to see the vault crack open though...

From what I've been reading, this label's other releases are basically just common boots re-released on the "grey market."

I wouldn't get too excited; it'll most probably look and sound like the US Festival we've all come to know. I wouldn't expect a high quality release.

The VH logo on the cover is NOT exactly the official one. Notice, the size of the bottom of the H.. Not quite well-made, heh ??

60 minutes ? Hell.. The show lasted 2 hours. 1h55m, to be precise.

I won't buy it, cuz I feel that the quality is not gonna be the one we all expect. Plus, the length.. Plus the cover, totally shitty.

                  Amen.

This DVD is now available on amazon.co.uk. Has anyone seen it? I would love a review. Is it a pro shot? Is it a complete concert? Is the audio and video quality good? Any one who knows anything tell us what is up.

The downside to this release (as an incomplete show) is that some of the leading torrent sites will now be afraid to host any US Festival torrents on their tracker, because they now contain "officially released material".

I won't mention which sites, due to the RIAA nazis who obviously lurk on this board, but I'm sure the names aren't a secret to many of you......

Is this really an "official release?"

Nope. Go to Amazon and seek out other titles offered by this "Classic Rock" outfit. You'll find that the only thing they offer are unlicensed, unauthorised biographies and "performances".

If one enjoys substandard product, then by all means purchase the thing. It's still the equivalent of a bootleg, as the band has nothing to do with it.

Look for the notorious legal attaches of the Van Halen braintrust to slap an injuction upon this thing very soon.

I could care less if the band has anything to do with it if it is a decent quality pro shot vid

Well, the quality remains to be seen, as there is no guarantee that this is a pro-shot deal. Who knows what it might even sound like-let alone look like, ya know? Until some advance clips of it show up on youtube or via "samples" from online retail, it's going to be a "Buyer Beware" type situation.

That's what I thought, especially since it's not available in the US on Amazon...

And Casemeister, who posted earlier in this thread, seems to know what he is talking about...
