He doesn't need the money or adulation - he's gotten that from us already, and doesn't feel the need to do anything he doesn't want to do. He IS entitled to that, but don't mislead and insult the public by calling it "Van Halen". As far as I'm concerned the legacy of a once-great band has been reduced to nothing more than a joke.

I am not one to comment about the purpose of DLRarmy.com, but in my humble opinion, I do not see why you keep trying to flame Van Hagar, a band you obviously have no interest in. I mean seriously folks, the war is lost. Sammy is back in VH. Terrorrist actions such as flaming Sammy, Edward, Alex, and perhaps Mike... just fail to comply with me.
We all loved the golden sound of 1978-1984, the bootlegs, and the 2 songs Ed did with Dave on the 1996 best of. But honestly, do you really think it can ever return to that? And do you think flaming Van Hagar is the way to get it done? I doubt it. So to me, this is just bad sportsmanship, you just can't stand knowing Sammy is back in VH so you try to destroy his winnings by flaming them him to hell?
In my book it's a noble thing to admit Dave probably won't perform with Edward (at least not any time soon). In this case, it's better you start anew to create something better (DLRarmy and the members it's attracted).
I still check Van-Halen.com from time to time, and Lord knows I'm very disappointed about the way Bradman handled some situations. But my way is the way of water. I flow around Van Hagar, dodging... I save my outbursts about the idiocy of it all and try to remember FORD's posts at The Links and Pleasure Dome.

Suppose you continue to flame Eddie VH. Would that bring back the old days? No. Dave with an Eddie competent guitarist, Alex competent drummer, and Michael competent bassist would. In a way. So I focus my energy on listening to Classic VH, Dave solo... and a Van Hagar tune or 2. :D
... and now it is time for me to go back to my attempted lo-carb diet again... and protein shakes again... before you know it I will be saying something that will make members lower my user rating.
