THIS. Bottom line, IMO. He fucked up, no ifs ands or buts about that - and an innocent KID is dead.
Because of a clearly biased, unfounded ASSumption Zimmerman made, and then decided - on his own - to go all Billy Badass about instead of waiting for the authorities he knew were on the way. There is no way anyone can possibly say they're equally at fault. Zimmerman was supposed to be the adult in this scenario.
