Who do you think will perform better in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio in November: Joe or Bernie?
Haven't seen any polls regarding those 4 states and those two candidates vs. Trump in the general yet.
Honestly, it's hard for me to imagine Sanders outperforming Biden in the states where it will count come November. That has less to do with which of the two I feel a stronger ideological affinity for, but just in terms of the math...
Will some of those who supported Sanders during the 2016 primaries and ended up voting for Trump switch back to Sanders if he is the nominee?
Will Biden be able to outperform Hillary in the battleground states that she lost by a whisker in 2016? Would Sanders?
I'd be interested to hear your take on it, FORD. Not so much in terms of who wins the ideological purity contest, but who among the two you feel stands the best/better/'bestest' chance of beating Trump in the fall.

If Biden were in his right mind, he might do well in PA, because he still claims to be the "kid from Scranton" even though his political career was all based on being a tool of the Delaware banking cartels. And the Ed Rendell propaganda machine absolutely loves Biden, because he & Ed are the same type of right wing corporatist hacks. In his current fucked up mental state, I don't know if that would be enough to help him.
I honestly believe Bernie is better in the other states you mentioned for the same reason he was better than Hillary in those states. Those states were devastated by the corporatist "free trade" deals which Bernie opposed, while Biden voted for them (as did Hillary). A lot of people aren't all that forgiving of somebody they blame for losing their jobs.
Most of these bullet points against Biden are decades old.
Also 'Dementia Joe' - are the Bernie people now fully adopting the Trump style? Jeez...
The whole Bernie thing is about bringing millions of politically disengaged people to vote for him and it's not happening.
The big fucking problem with these people is you can poll them as much as you like and live in a fantasy world where things change radically but they don't fucking turn up.

When does Obama endorse Biden?

Admittedly not science but there was a BBC reporter going down a line of Democrat primary voters in Michigan and the other day and 90% of them were saying they couldn't vote Bernie because he was a communist, they didn't want to end up like Venezuela and even if they did he couldn't beat Trump.
I'm not saying I agree with any of that but it's not about what I think.

There’s going to be a brokered convention. Biden may not even be the nominee and if he is his running mate will be the real candidate who will probably take over because Joe has become incapable of running. Bernie is toast.

It’s just going to be another replay of 2016. ZZzzzz
AND people keep saying "the polls show..."
Didn't anyone learn anything four years ago?
Actually this one is looking more like a replay of 2004. They're attempting to end the primary early, in order to force the weakest pathetic candidate available as the so-called "nominee".
Only Judas IsKerryot looks pretty good compared to Dementia Joe.
Fuck the corporate media & the corporate fake "Democrats". Nobody has 1911 delegates yet, the primary ain't over
LOL Is Bloomberg running as a third party candidate yet? I wouldn't hedge bets on Nitrous Oxide's wishful thinking/chicken little predictions...
This is what I'm talking about, this Doel guys premise is that suddenly a bunch of young disenfranchised voters would turn up on general election day and give Bernie the presidency.
Even although these same incredibly enthusiastic people couldn't give enough of a shit to vote in the primary.
It's a fantasy there is no evidence that things are changing. You have an ageing population where the young people don't vote. This is not the time to try and make some point that if only there was a socialist candidate things would change wait 4 years and be proved wrong then because if you get it wrong this time you probably won't have a real election in 4 years time.

I'm definitely concerned about the younger voters not showing up to vote for Bernie, if indeed that's the case. Assuming there's not some other underhanded bullshit going on. I know the Republicans have already announced their intentions to make it difficult for college students to vote, especially those who go to school in a different state - or even a different city from the place which they still consider their legal primary residence. Wouldn't be surprised if certain "Democratic" state party organizations played the same game.
One thing is for certain.... Biden sure as fuck isn't going to bring them out to vote in November, just like Hillary didn't. That said, there's a serious mental disconnect if Bernie can get you off the couch to go to a rally to see him, but not get you to show up at the polling place. Being a committed political liberal since the age of 14 (when the obvious BCE manipulation of the Iran hostage crisis woke me up) it's hard to imagine being young and NOT giving a shit. Especially since things on this planet are looking MUCH worse for the younger generations now than they were in 1980.
Hillary got more votes than Trump and more than Obama did in 2012.
Trumps popularity has gone down big time since he has been in office and Biden doesn't have the unpopularity of Clinton and also is popular with black voters.
If you want Trump out you need to start worrying about who actually votes in elections and stop this Trump style thing of saying elections are fake because you don't like the results.
Biden won't do 2 terms, get your guy in next time and preferably find one that is a bit more moderate and not 90 years old.
