Damn. I read this and saw the pictures this morning. EXACTLY what happened to Michael Anthony. Totally screwed up.
By the way, did anyone get a screen shot of the VH website when they had the altered album covers on there? Just wondering if VH camp changed it back before anyone saved it.

I didn't think much of the Wyman thing at the time. He's not in the band anymore, so they didn't want to have a picture of a guy on the cover who's no longer in the band (even though he DID play on some of the stuff on that record). Never occurred to me that it was digital manipulation though, I just thought they found a shot where he wasn't in it, since the cover photo was from the "Respectable" video, and Bill isn't in every shot.
At least they didn't try to photoshop Daryl Jones IN to the picture!

I didn't get the screen shot at the time, but I did find some sketchy images of the album covers from that time at another site and saved them. Anyway that you look at it, it was a cheeseball move. On the WACF cover, they simply showed a green cover with the album title. The worst offense was on the first album, where Anthony is removed and Wolfgang is painted in. The images were shown roughly avatar sized, perhaps in the hopes that people would not notice. They did, however. Loudly.
