as crazy as the guy was, I really enjoyed hearing about what he had to say about the unfair trade agreements that america had set, and the gasoline tax would have done wonders to get rid of the debt that we had.

Ross Perot saw what was coming and knew Bush was a huge globalist. The problem was Clinton was influenced by the same globalists and passed NAFTA and deregulated the banking system. So sadly, keeping Bush out of a second term didn't have the desired effect. Then things snowballed downhill with Bush jr. and Mr. Change is continuing the program.

You bet. Ross knew what would happen and sadly it happened.

i voted for H. Ross Perot in 1996 and again in 2000.
in 2004, i voted a write in vote of "no confidence".
i did that one on general principles, all candidates considered at the time.

Perot and the Unions were absolutely right about NAFTA. Unfortunately he screwed himself by dropping out of the race, and then back in. He was actually leading over both Clinton and Poppy Bush for a while before then. Who knows what might have happened if he stayed in the race the whole time.

Fortunately though, Obama always has the Bomb Bomb Iran card in his back pocket to play.. I'm not discounting completely the idea he doesn't announce a war just for purposes of reelection.

Americans love a good war! We win 'em all anyways. An Iran war however, would be immensely popular to anyone who can recall 400 days of hostage.

And we know for a fact rolling into Tehran would be about as effiecient if not more so (now with a robust Predator drone program in gear) and kicking ass would be just as popular with the Iranians. All they care about is getting an education so they can get a job in the EU or USA, or feeding their fat channel-clicking asses bitching about poor humus and Arab music.

If we invaded and took over Iran and gave everybody welfare while giving them government, and restoring the oil companies' "nationalized" properties, gas would go back down to a buck a gallon and the petrodollar would hit an all-time high.

But here's another scenario, since both parties seem to be in collusion towards globalism: the Democrats announce war on Iran, but run a weak campaign with a poor history of governance leaving the GOP to govern in that vaccuum and finish the war "they didn't start but will promise to end" just the same stunt the Dems pulled.

One guy takes the heat on the way out, the other takes the praise on the way in. It's been that way since Korea! Fuckers..

War with Iran would only be "popular" with the following groups....

"Defense" industry and oil industry criminals who would make obscene profits.
