Ok but back to the question...what IS rep power? As compared to people clicking on the thanks button? I know it is a separate statistic...just have no idea what it is for. So people click on it, it gives you more of it. Mmmkay. And this means what? Do I get some candy or something? A free combination earpick and cokespoon?

under User Reputation options there are different settings that you can change.
Registration date: for every __ number of days they are registered, they gain 1 point, so what they can give goes up one point.
Post count: for every __ posts, they gain 1 point so what they can give to others goes up a point
Reputation: for every ___ rep received, they gain 1 point so what they can give to others goes up a point. <- so by you adding your 100 rep points to them, it increases according to what the __ is.
Rep power: How much power (points) the use gives when they give reputation.
Rep level: How much reputation points they have received from other users.Comment
