"If the American people had ever known the truth about what we (the BCE) have done to this nation, we would be chased down in the streets and lynched." - Poppy Bush, 1992
BTW, John Oliver's fine muckraking journalism has led to NY's Attorney General to send a "cease and desist" letter to that fucking pile of shit Jim Baker over his fake Corona Virus silver cure...

This is the worst thing about these cockroaches - it doesn't matter how much they are shown to be liars and fraudsters they just keep coming back.Bakker was convicted in 1989 on multiple counts of fraud after he stole millions of dollars in a fundraising scandal. He spent five years in prison before returning to TV in 2003.
The law should be stronger than a 'cease and desist' there should be a way to put the fuck straight out of business and preferably back to jail.
I dunno.
I went shopping yesterday. Plenty of TP in the store. I still licked the cart handle when I walked in, just like I always do. Two women threw up this time though.
My friend was in Washington last week. I saw her today, I got out of the car wearing a 3M mask for spray painting and a full face grinding shield
We have a crew of South Koreans coming to install a new machine at work. They will be quarantined two weeks and monitored by the local hospital system before stepping foot into the facility. My employer had already restricted travel to South Korea a week ago.

Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.
Three coronavirus cases in Cleveland's suburbs.
Sanders has a rally downtown tomorrow night.
hmmmm...
Well, now Missouri's Attorney General is suing him:
DEAD STATE LINK
Biden and Sanders both cancel tonight's rallies in Cleveland. The Republican governor recommended it (that one's for FORD)
Gov. DeWine is recommending limited attendance by fans at sports events and a few colleges have suspended face-to-face lectures.
Big AutoRama is this weekend, I don't have tickets yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it gets canceled. The I-X Center issued a statement Monday that says the show will go on and there are plenty of hand sanitizer stations in the building.

Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson Test Positive for Coronavirus
Matt Donnelly
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have announced that they have tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus), the first celebrities to go public with a diagnosis.
Hanks and Wilson, both 63, revealed the news with a statement on Wednesday. The married couple was in Australia for production of Baz Luhrmann’s untitled Elvis Presley movie, in which Hanks is playing Presley’s iconic manager Colonel Tom Parker.
Read the statement below:
Hanks and Wilson were the only known individuals on the film to contract the disease, insiders said. The film is currently in pre-production stages, meaning cameras have yet to roll, and is still making preparations to shoot. Testing measures for filmmakers and crew are presently unknown.“Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.
Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?
We’ll keep the world posted and updated.
Take care of yourselves!”
Warner Bros., the distributor behind the film, issued a statement shortly after Hanks and Wilson went public.
“We have been made aware that a company member from our Elvis feature film, which is currently in pre-production in The Gold Coast, Australia, has tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus),” the statement reads. “We are working closely with the appropriate Australian health agencies to identify and contact anyone who may have come in direct contact with the individual. The health and safety of our company members is always our top priority, and we are taking precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world. The individual who tested positive for COVID-19 is currently receiving treatment.”
The news broke just as President Donald Trump announced a 30-day suspension on travel from Europe to the United States due to the spread of coronavirus. Earlier on Wednesday, the World Health Organization officially declared COVID-19 a global pandemic.
There have been more than 115,000 cases of coronavirus confirmed worldwide, and the disease has killed more than 4,200 people.
Deadline Hollywood first broke the news.
More Trump craziness at https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020...covid-19-storyStories about Trump’s coronavirus fears have spread through the White House. Last week Trump told aides he’s afraid journalists will try to purposefully contract coronavirus to give it to him on Air Force One, a person close to the administration told me. The source also said Trump has asked the Secret Service to set up a screening program and bar anyone who has a cough from the White House grounds. “He’s definitely melting down over this,” the source said.

NCAA tournaments canceled over coronavirus
ESPN News Services
The NCAA has called off its men's and women's basketball tournaments as part of a complete cancellation of all remaining spring and winter championships.
"This decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, our ability to ensure the events do not contribute to spread of the pandemic, and the impracticality of hosting such events at any time during this academic year given ongoing decisions by other entities," the NCAA said in a statement Thursday.
The announcement is an abrupt end to a basketball season that had less than a month to go before champions were to be crowned.
The men's basketball tournament has been played every year since 1939, when Oregon won the championship in Evanston, Illinois. It has grown through the years, both in size and stature. The three-week tournament generates almost a billion dollars in revenue each year for the NCAA and its hundreds of member universities and colleges.
Thursday's decision by the NCAA follows the cancellation of 15 men's basketball conference tournaments earlier in the day and announcements by the ACC, Big Ten and other leagues suspending all athletic-related activity until further notice.
On Wednesday, the NCAA had announced the games that were scheduled to start next week would go on but played in mostly empty arenas. That plan was scrapped as major American sports leagues, including the NBA, NHL and MLB, put the brakes on their seasons due to concerns about the pandemic.
"This is a difficult time with so many conflicting emotions," Dawn Staley, coach of the No. 1-ranked South Carolina women's basketball team, said in a statement. "First and foremost, we have to recognize how important it is to do the right thing for our community. Sports is a big part of our lives, but just one part of how we are connected to each other. We need to step back and think about the larger good served by canceling events that put people at risk.
"As competitors, we are certainly disappointed that we will not have the opportunity to contend for a second National Championship. That said, it will not diminish the way we look at our season, how we value our body of work over the last few four months. We have measured ourselves against the best in the country over that time, and will embrace and relish that accomplishment."
Among the championships that were also canceled are hockey, softball, baseball and lacrosse. The decision to cancel baseball and softball drew a sharp response from SEC commissioner Greg Sankey.
"I'm surprised we've made a decision in March not to hold baseball and softball events in June," Sankey said on The Paul Finebaum Show. "I'd love to know what went into those decisions."
For most people, the coronavirus causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia. The vast majority of people recover from the virus.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.
Cunt Alexis Jones is now peddling Corona Virus snake oils apparently...
The NHL season has been postponed indefinitely...
Must be a little upset that Jim Bakker was trying to steal his "colloidal silver" racket away from him??
It is looney tunes around here.
Went to the bar after work, usual crowd.
Grocery store was as busy as it is on the first o' da munt at noon. No bread, no paper products.
Liquor store was closed by the time I got home but I'll go in the morning and get more vodka so I can shelter in place.
What he doesn't mention is if they delay what if the Corona kills all the old people before they can vote?
So I hear Charles Barkley is "not feeling well" and is being tested for coronavirus. Good news is he won't have to worry about missing work, now that March Madness is cancelled. Bad news is he might have infected Stephen Colbert earlier in the week, if he actually has the shit.....
Just found this in my morning email avalanche.....

This week Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson issued a Proclamation of Civil Emergency with the goal of minimizing the impact, severity and duration of COVID-19 as it spreads. “To me, the most important thing is minimizing the impact [of the coronavirus]" said the Mayor. County Executive Armond Budish also issued a State of Emergency declaration yesterday that helped inform our decision.
Meanwhile, we are maintaining normal operating hours at the Museum. Any additional change of plans will be clearly communicated on our website. Please join us in following the preventive measures recommended by the Center for Disease Control:

Well, at least some of those shows aren't currently airing, so at worst their next seasons might be delayed. Being that this is mid march and the regular TV season usually wraps up in May, I would think most of them had already completed filming/taping/whatever for the current season, though they might be in the "post production" process.
If not, all the folks forced to stay at home for weeks at a time might get really fucking bored.....
There is already so much good TV to stream though that most of us haven't had time to watch.
Fuck I could happily do a Breaking Bad rewatch.
The people I really feel sorry for are those that had booked a Disney/Universal Studio vacation especially people those that don't live in the US. Been there and these things are spectacularly expensive once or twice in a lifetime for most even above average income working families and I can't think of a way that they won't have been fucked by this without a refund for the majority of the cost.

If this thing hits properly then in the UK we will be in the insane position of not only a triple financial disaster of Corona, Brexit and low oil prices, but the already now minority of people that wanted Brexit will fall drastically from 45% as the elderly die and there is fuck all anyone can do about it.
Co-worker and his brood left for Orlando Friday morning. He's trying to get their Magic Kingdom tickets refunded. They rented a house so at least they'll be somewhere other (warmer) than here, probably won't have much to do though.
I'm on my week off. Wasn't really planning on going anywhere unless it's nice enough to ride outside. I have house projects I can be working on and enough supplies that I don't have to run out for anything, and if I did have to go, it would be at 6 am before Home Depot gets busy.
Everything but retail is shutting down. Live shows cancelled. Rock Hall closed for two weeks, as are most of the museums. Not sure about movie theaters though. Even the casinos are down now, MGM closed at midnight. I wasn't gonna go this week anyways.
Stores are getting cleaned out. Stupid panic buyers. Stopped again today, was able to pick up a couple things I couldn't get the night before. I'll be okay for a few weeks.
