There ISN'T precedence for the upcoming soon-to-be filibuster/stalling/obstruction that is soon to happen, whether that occurs in the initial interviews with individual Senators (if it even gets that far), whether it gets to the Judicial committee, or it it makes to the full Senate for a vote...

They'll use everything in their power to prevent any potential nominee from getting selected.....

This whole thing only makes the case even stronger for Bernie to secure a nomination and do it early enough to have MAJOR coat tails in Senate elections. Because if the Turtle is successful in preventing Obama from nominating Fat Tony's replacement, he would try to do the same exact thing in 2017. Only way to prevent that is to elect enough new Senators to knock Yertle the Turtle off his self-imposed throne....

And the best way to do that is with a Democratic Presidential nominee who inspires decent candidates to run for both houses of Congress.
