Interesting response... so a guy who has or had a poorly informed opinion on smoking, questions about climate change and doesn't want to federally fund programs for HIV infected drug addicts' and the sexually confused... disqualifies him from leading a pandemic task force..?

I'm not saying these guys are doing an amazing job, nor are they the best to be leading this pandemic response. It appears y'all don't understand the dynamics of leadership... the most effective leaders aren't always experts in the area in which they lead... in most cases they successfully bring in a combination of people with the necessary skills and people with the ability to get shit done. That's how delegated leadership functions and in this case it's many layers deep.

In most cases the results are what matters most... not the personalities, nor what unrelated crap they bring to the table...

Trump fumbled the response.

It was, sadly, not surprising. With the virus, Trump finally encountered a problem he couldn't spin away with his bullshit huckstering, and by the time the virus hit Trump had surrounded himself with a bunch of third-raters who weren't equipped to handle it, either.

For Trump to have handled the virus in a calm, measured, responsible way would have required Trump to be something other than he has always been all along.

And now the infections and death tolls are rising, and Trump is seemingly more concerned with thus far unsuccessfully contesting an election that he lost.

To not provide Biden's team access to the same information Trump's team has regarding the virus - even while the election results are being contested - is just beyond the pale, even by Trump's won diminished standards...but, again, sadly not surprising.
