Also probably a bad thing for Trump to give a massive boost to ISIS giving them a chance to do a Rocky style come back...

Only a simpleton would blame one person for those kind of problems. Having HW Bush and Bill Clinton sell us out to the Chinese Communist Party didn’t help. Having lot’s of people getting compromised and bought off brought us to where we are and it’s beyond the simple partisan political games.

Probably not much of an ISIS threat for cyber from the mud huts and caves in Syria... plus their money flow has been pretty much disrupted. Eastern block and former Russian outfits along with Russia, China, North Korea and Iran pose a far great cyber threat.

I never meant that ISIS is an immediate threat in those ways, just saying that allowing our Kurd allies to be attacked and that meaning that a couple of hundred ISIS prisoners escape not so great...

If you look into this even a bit, even ignoring the horrible morality of screwing over the Kurd allies anyone that knows anything Republican or not thinks it was a terrible idea.

3 years in with Trump we've been incredibly lucky that nothing super major dangerous has come up as long as you aren't a Kurd.

Allowing the Kurd allies, who created one of the finest beacons of democracy, be slaughtered and pushed by the Turks is fucking inexcusable!

The next terror attack, or peer-enemy war, forget about having allies...

Your ignorance is staggering. Turkey, by way of NATO, is our only "legal" ally. The Kurds, who really only care about taking territory that doesn't belong to them, fought ISIS on their behalf, not ours, so that they could take more land.
They are an offshoot of the PKK, considered by most to be a terrorist group. Not saying they're terrorist, but their lineage is questionable. Would you rather piss-off the Kurds or go to war with Turkey? It's a no win situation like all of the Middle East issues. Thus we pull out and find other ways to achieve our interests.

They've fought with Greece in the past, also our 'legal NATO ally" and did nothing for us after 9/11. They're also led by an Islamist gov't more or less...

Thy are not an off-shoot of the PKK you ignorant sister-fucker. There is no evidence that the YPG colludes with the PKK. Even of they do, what gives Turkey any right to invade Syria? Why should we leave Syria to the Iranians and Russians anyways?

                      They helped us fight ISIS!

And we're not "pulling out" idiot, we're still guarding the oil fields in Syria and sending troops to Saudi Arabia, the ones who paid for 9/11...

I've really grown ambivalent over the whole Middle East situation... any move the US makes there, fucks something up for somebody. The frustrating part is there's no end to violence and bullshit among all those people, governments, tribes, factions, etc...

The first thing we need to stop doing is get caught up in the idiotic Saudis vs. Iranians thing...

The House of Saud has amassed one of the largest, most technically sophisticated arsenals in the Middle East for its incompetent, panicky military. Yet we still send the troops...

When you say amassed this huge arsenal you mean of course we've sold them it in return for tons of cash some of which goes back to the politicians who approved it.

Of course it's incredibly likely at some point one way or another these weapons will be turned on us. Propping up murderous dictators has never ended well for the West - Iran, Cuba, Central America...

Holy shit you're dumber than dirt. Do I have to look it up for you and provide a link? What gives the Kurds the right to take Syrian land?
