I remember this well it was our first conversation and I immediately said fine I'll give him his fucking money and you said you already had tried that. It was a real introduction to the fuckwittery of some of the extras in this story.Damn. This is just one more crazy thread to add to the history of the Roth Army.
Let me address a few things, and make a few observations. Some people weren't around, or just flat don't remember history correctly. It seems, people's version of what the Roth Army once was, is based on their own time frame as to when they were relevant here. Relevant in reality, or in their own mind.
I blame the Bass player.
Not Funky Les. Not Wolfgang. Not Mike Anthony. A lot of people don't know this, but the original Roth Army site was deleted by a Bass player. To be specific, the Bass player from the Atomic Punks. For those of you that go way back, you might remember, the Punks site was attached to this site. There became an issue over hosting fees, and money that was owed, and this guy got pissed off enough to convince someone at the hosting company, to let him DELETE the Roth Army. Late one evening, I spent some time on the phone with him, trying to convince him not to do what he was threatening to do. I offered to send him every penny he felt was owed. I offered to do whatever he wanted, in order to make it right in his mind. But, he was having none of it. He was so pissed off, he hung up with me, and promptly hit delete.
The thing is that at that time this site was really fucking big as Sarge said. The idiot hole who deleted all that stuff including all of my funny early work should have been signing a death warrant on his tribute band because as a Roth era Van Halen act he was deleting half his fucking audience. He got away with it because there was a hiatus and the people that knew what had happened couldn't communicate it. Nowadays he wouldn't have dared as twitter and facebook would have killed him.
That said I guess he has to sit there looking at the astonishing success his ex band members have made without him in Steel Panther, David Lee Roth and Korn.

Neptune's Nest is south of Camarillo on PCH. Oxnard is slightly north of Camarillo. Fishing should be good on Ventura Pier right about now. Ventura's the longest wooden pier on the west coast. No licence required to fish off public piers in Cali. Nice little taco stand that serves beer on the parking lot end.Beware of DogComment

So THAT is why Roth Army disappeared 11 years ago. Nobody ever 'splained it in public before.
I actually was a member of DDLR before I found this place.....then I got on here (2002?), then I forgot my DDLR credentials and signed up under something else....then I came here for good.
It's all good. Except for the BS.

I called out Lard a couple of time LONG before the shit started for posting private messages. The "logic" was, the messages were sent to him, so they were his to do as he pleased.
If that was accepted, then you have no choice but to accept it in Flappo's case.
Not only that, but when Flappo posted Chef's PMs, Lard was posting Chef's PMs too.
And this is what really pisses me off about your little group. You do all sorts of shit, but then cry like little pussies when someone else does it to you.
You don't get to pick & choose. That's not how the grown-up world works.
And everything, EVERYTHING you accuse others of doing, your precious golden boy did it before. To exhaustion.
In fact, that played a major part on what happened. Many people were tired of your clueless hypocrisies & double standards. Not just those that actively participated in the flame war. Many were disgusted, but chose to stay out of the way.
