There is no way, nooooo way Dave is sounding like he did on the first few albums at his age, unless a lot of studio magic is involved. Methinks John 5 is exaggerating in order to sell albums in the future if it ever sees the light of day.

LOL No, I don't think John5 needs anyone's coat-tails to generate buzz over any of his work. The guy stands on his own merit.
I was just throwin shit out there for the fun of it... But it did get the thread restarted..."If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”Comment

The stuff was described to me as being in the style of "Could This Be Magic?" Dave could totally pull that off today, and I was told Dave sounds phenomenal on these recordings.Comment

Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!Comment

I'm thinking he'll always be able to pull off the ultra-cool vocal tone of "Stay While The Night Is Young" from the Diamond Dave cd. If this music is more acoustic and less hi-octane, he just may have held off on the straining and reaching out of his register.Comment

I definitely think a recording of Dave in his middle range would be fantastic and have no doubt the album is killer. Dave has never not-delivered on albums. His game is strong.. What I find annoying is why the bros would mind letting this thing come out. I think it would attract people to CVH for sure. The fat kid on bass could be the generational bridge!Originally posted by wiseguyThat shit will welcome you in the morning and pour the milk in your count chocula for ya.Comment
