Funny thing is Obama said they were going after the Dispensaries in Cali months ago and nothing, to my knowledge, has happened.

    Just another Obama failure

It's sad because if we had just 1 great President in the last 12 years or a congress that wasn't hell bent on being obstructionists we wouldn't be in this mess.

I think history will record this era as a chance for real change in America that was squandered by ineffective and corrupt politicians.

No real change will come until we stop lobbyists and campaign fiance reform happens.

I will say I like what Obama's trying to do, in part, with his budget plan.....

          End oil subsides.

          Implement the Buffett Rule.

Repeal Bush tax cuts for the rich.

Tax dividend income over 250k as ordinary income.

Reduce the defict by 4 trillion over the next decade.

nice start... but I'd rather see a plan that eliminates the deficit and begins to pay down the national debt

The CIA turned from an intelligence gathering agency to a fourth branch of the government.
How so? If they were the "fourth branch," then why did Neocons so easily muffle they're dissent relatively easily during the run-up to the Iraq War?

These predator drones spook me. They make bombing too easy and too unaccountable.
How accountable were manned bombing missions in the latest wars? Is there really much difference? Accountable to whom?

I think the truth is presidents come and go but there are people who stay in Washington forever and they have access to money and secrecy and maybe the president just doesn't have a clue what's really going on. It very well could be Bush still controls parts of the CIA and is still running his agenda.
Really? Bush is controlling the CIA? Maybe he's sending moonbeams to your skull?

The thing with Obama, he's got a reputation for saying one thing and then renaging on what he said.
An opinion held mostly by politically ignorant fringes..

He said the new defense bill was unconstitutional and would not sign it into law and then he did exactly that. He said he would have an open government and his administration has been one of the most secretive. He said he would close Gitmo but never did. I like to joke and say Barrack did open the government up, he showed us how corrupt it is. LOL!
What defense bill? Closing GITMO is something I want to see, but it's pretty complicated and fraught with partisan political complications.

Audit of the Federal Reserve Reveals $16 Trillion in Secret Bailouts

The first ever GAO(Government Accountability Office) audit of the Federal Reserve was carried out in the past few months due to the Ron Paul, Alan Grayson Amendment to the Dodd-Frank bill, which passed last year. Jim DeMint, a Republican Senator, and Bernie Sanders, an independent Senator, led the charge for a Federal Reserve audit in the Senate, but watered down the original language of the house bill(HR1207), so that a complete audit would not be carried out. Ben Bernanke(pictured to the left), Alan Greenspan, and various other bankers vehemently opposed the audit and lied to Congress about the effects an audit would have on markets. Nevertheless, the results of the first audit in the Federal Reserve’s nearly 100 year history were posted on Senator Sander’s webpage earlier this morning: http://sanders.senate.gov/newsroom/n...3-62060dcbb3c3

What was revealed in the audit was startling: $16,000,000,000,000.00 had been secretly given out to US banks and corporations and foreign banks everywhere from France to Scotland. From the period between December 2007 and June 2010, the Federal Reserve had secretly bailed out many of the world’s banks, corporations, and governments. The Federal Reserve likes to refer to these secret bailouts as an all-inclusive loan program, but virtually none of the money has been returned and it was loaned out at 0% interest. Why the Federal Reserve had never been public about this or even informed the United States Congress about the $16 trillion dollar bailout is obvious — the American public would have been outraged to find out that the Federal Reserve bailed out foreign banks while Americans were struggling to find jobs.

To place $16 trillion into perspective, remember that GDP of the United States is only $14.12 trillion. The entire national debt of the United States government spanning its 200+ year history is “only” $14.5 trillion. The budget that is being debated so heavily in Congress and the Senate is “only” $3.5 trillion. Take all of the outrage and debate over the $1.5 trillion deficit into consideration, and swallow this Red pill: There was no debate about whether $16,000,000,000,000 would be given to failing banks and failing corporations around the world.

In late 2008, the TARP Bailout bill was passed and loans of $800 billion were given to failing banks and companies. That was a blatant lie considering the fact that Goldman Sachs alone received 814 billion dollars. As is turns out, the Federal Reserve donated $2.5 trillion to Citigroup, while Morgan Stanley received $2.04 trillion. The Royal Bank of Scotland and Deutsche Bank, a German bank, split about a trillion and numerous other banks received hefty chunks of the $16 trillion.

“This is a clear case of socialism for the rich and rugged, you’re-on-your-own individualism for everyone else.” – Bernie Sanders(I-VT)

When you have conservative Republican stalwarts like Jim DeMint(R-SC) and Ron Paul(R-TX) as well as self identified Democratic socialists like Bernie Sanders all fighting against the Federal Reserve, you know that it is no longer an issue of Right versus Left. When you have every single member of the Republican Party in Congress and progressive Congressmen like Dennis Kucinich sponsoring a bill to audit the Federal Reserve, you realize that the Federal Reserve is an entity onto itself, which has no oversight and no accountability.

Americans should be swelled with anger and outrage at the abysmal state of affairs when an unelected group of bankers can create money out of thin air and give it out to megabanks and supercorporations like Halloween candy. If the Federal Reserve and the bankers who control it believe that they can continue to devalue the savings of Americans and continue to destroy the US economy, they will have to face the realization that their trillion dollar printing presses will eventually plunder the world economy.

The list of institutions that received the most money from the Federal Reserve can be found on page 131 of the GAO Audit and are as follows..

                    Citigroup: $2.5 trillion ($2,500,000,000,000)
                    Morgan Stanley: $2.04 trillion ($2,040,000,000,000)
                    Merrill Lynch: $1.949 trillion ($1,949,000,000,000)
Bank of America: $1.344 trillion ($1,344,000,000,000)
Barclays PLC (United Kingdom): $868 billion ($868,000,000,000)
                    Bear Sterns: $853 billion ($853,000,000,000)
                    Goldman Sachs: $814 billion ($814,000,000,000)
Royal Bank of Scotland (UK): $541 billion ($541,000,000,000)
JP Morgan Chase: $391 billion ($391,000,000,000)
Deutsche Bank (Germany): $354 billion ($354,000,000,000)
                    UBS (Switzerland): $287 billion ($287,000,000,000)
Credit Suisse (Switzerland): $262 billion ($262,000,000,000)
                    Lehman Brothers: $183 billion ($183,000,000,000)
Bank of Scotland (United Kingdom): $181 billion ($181,000,000,000)
BNP Paribas (France): $175 billion ($175,000,000,000)
and many many more including banks in Belgium of all places

                            CNN Poll: Romney's likability fading

                            Posted by
                            CNN Political Unit
(CNN) - Mitt Romney's overall favorable ratings have dropped, while Rick Santorum's standing has jumped among Republicans, according to a new national survey.

A CNN/ORC International poll released Tuesday indicates Romney's popularity has especially taken a tumble among Republicans, with a 13-point decline in positive reviews from his own party.

In the new survey, 54% of Republicans said they hold a favorable opinion of Romney, while 67% said the same in January. Among all Americans, 34% described the candidate as likable, down from 41% last month.

Meanwhile, Santorum's recent victories have boosted his standing among Republicans, 56% of whom had a good opinion of the former Pennsylvania senator, up from 49% in January.

The survey was conducted Friday through Monday, the tail end of a big week for Santorum with three contest victories followed by a spike in fundraising and poll numbers.

But among all Americans, Santorum's favorable rating has remained flat. Thirty-two percent held a good opinion in the new survey, while 31% said the same in January.

Texas Rep. Ron Paul and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich received positive reviews from roughly half of all Republicans.

But those numbers declined when Americans of all political affiliations were surveyed. In that case, Paul came in at 42%, ahead of Romney and Santorum, and Gingrich's favorable rating fell to 25%.

That leaves only one presidential candidate in the race with a national favorable rating above the 50% mark: President Barack Obama.

Among all Americans, Obama received positive reviews from 53%, with the poll suggesting he may have grown more popular in recent months.

Asked about issues, Republicans see Romney as the candidate most suited to handle the economy, taxes, health care and the deficit.

Gingrich, meanwhile, has a major advantage on foreign policy and illegal immigration, and Santorum is viewed as most equipped on abortion issues.

The CNN poll was conducted by ORC International from February 10-13, with 1,026 adult Americans questioned by telephone. The survey's overall sampling error is plus or minus three percentage points.

The sample also includes 937 interviews among registered voters, with a sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points.

                            – CNN's Ashley Killough contributed to this report.

Or how about signing the NDAA and giving the military the authority to detain American citizens indefinitely? Or wait, what about authorizing the assassination of American citizens?
Every politician who voted yes or signed it into law should be fired. No excuse for that kind of garbage. If we can give the nazis a fair trial then we can give everyone a fair trial. Also, it's blatantly unconstitutional to use the military as a police force. If the Feds want to arrest someone then they better have a warrant and have one of the federal law enforcement agencies do it and have a trial. It seems like the politicians want to scare people from protesting them and the lame illegal laws and executive orders they have passed. This is all about trying to scare the public into submission because the politicians know they are guilty as hell and we are angry as hell. I hate to tell you guys but some of the most angry people are the ones in the military you screwed over. My question is, exactly what military are you going to use to turn on the people when the military hates you?
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!
