Having watched one of my friends go through this on a fantasy football site, (she was the only woman on it that really talked, and so was driven out of town) I am sorry to see the herd mentality.

Whether or not Gar was the "most hated" or something, he should not be banned just because of that. If a site becomes too homogenized and only those that think alike are allowed to post, sites become stagnant.

I don't think that M.A.S.H. improved just because "Ferret Face" Frank Burns left. Gar was a lightening-rod and kept things interesting around here, regardless of his opinions.

I would prefer to see someone legitimately banned only for forum rule busts, and that could happen I suppose to anybody.

I gave a lot of room to the guy...as I always do to everyone. He used every bit of that room...which is fine...but even I can only take so fucking much...and I helped write the rules here.

GAyR was indeed "the most hated", but he earned that title. And what few rules this site actually HAS, he broke every one of them. Repeatedly. And bragged about doing so.

Banning is extremely rare on this website. This one was LONG overdue.

I really had the fucker on ignore so he never said anything interesting to me. He never added any value to anything IMO. If derailing threads on a constant basis is "keeping things intersting" then I guess he did that.
