Oh yeah.. He had great stuff; for bp (batting practice)... Pettitte will be back soon enough...
You're gonna hear the angels sing...
I went to the game last night and watched my Cardinals destroy the Reds 11 - 1 . Went to the game today , sat 12 rows behind home plate - SWEET ! - and the Reds won 6 - 3 . The Cards took 2 outta 3 from the Reds again . Fun stuff . It's gonna be a dogfight in the N.L. Central .
Yanks should have pitched Freddy Boom Boom Washington instead of Freddy Garcia against the Red Sux today......couldn't have been any worse.
Humber...perfect..watched the whole game...GO SOX
Rob,just picked him up in my league. Liked him last year. Go brew crew!
Great effort by Humber! Gotta love perfection!
That way overshadows what the Bombers did in the 7th and 8th innings against Boston today though...
Pettitte wants to pitch because he still can. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who wants egg on his face trying to be a has been.
I actually turned on the game in the 7th. I looked at the score when I posted yesterday and I kinda wrote it off. I checked later and had turn it on! They don't call em the Bombers for nothing!
Blood and fire just played during Brewers VS Houston. Fox sports north.
You guys see the video of the little kid who was crying his eyes out cause he did not get a foul ball?
Because an adult next to him and his parents snatched it off the ground before the kids dad could get it?
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headline...rts-fans-ever/
How the fuck could he not know the kid was crying????? THE DUMB COCKSUCKER WAS RIGHT NEXT TO THE FUCKING KID!
Dude is just trying to cover his ass....because the ENTIRE EVENT WAS BEING BROADCAST LIVE ON TV!!!!
What is amazing about this whole thing, is that if you fuck up in public these days....DEFINITELY at a pro sports event being broadcast live on TV.....the entire world is going to be aware of it.
40 or 50 years ago....only the people AT the game would know about it if it was not being televised....and perhaps people listening on the radio....even if it WAS televised, only people in the US would see it.....now every game is televised, and you fuck up, the court of GLOBAL public opinion can damn you to hell in an instant.
Like I am doing about that fucking idiot.
To be fair.....it could have been that they really didn't notice the kid crying, but for some reason I cannot believe that crap....
And I do know that people will really become insanely competitive when it comes to stuff like this.
Remember Mark McGuire's shots when he was breaking Babe Ruth's home run record? People were ready to kill each other over those home run balls....cause they were worth a fortune...
And now, seems they are angry for being called out on the scene:

I saw that. The best is watching it on YES and hearing Michael Kay call those dumb fuckers out.
Freddy Garcia had quite the outing today... For me to poop on...
CC rights the ship with Robertson following in line. Much better...
So uh, how bout them Dodgers?
Kemp is lights out...he must be getting some good pussy
I saw Kemp on TMZ once....getting into a limo with 3 fine ass chicks and they asked him about Rhianna and he said he's done with her...he already had her....funny shit. Go Yankees.....bye bye Freddy garcia.....next step after the bullpen is out the door completely. Hurry up Petitte....we need ya!!!!
is it me or does that harper kid swing as hard as anyone I've ever seen at the ball?
Looks like we've got a 3-way tie in the AL Central. Kansas City and Minnesota can just forget about the division title for 2012.
And you said that before tonight's game... That kid is a masher...
Anyone see that call today in the Rockies Dodgers game? Todd Helton the Rockies 1st baseman was pulled about 2 feet off the bag on a bad throw from the 3rd baseman and the batter was called out. I've never seen that happen before when it was so obvious. In the area at 2nd base during a double play I get but this was a really bad call...
Could be. Still plenty of ball left though...

Jared Weaver is 3 outs away from a no-no
Weaver did it!! i think he only walked one...awesome !! guess there is an advantage to getting off work at 10 pm
That would have been great to see! Awesome performance, no doubt!
AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Now Mo is out! He fucked up his right knee shagging fly balls before tonight's game. Going for an MRI as I type. It looked bad on the clips...
Good thing the season doesn't actually start 'til after the All Star break. Fear not.
Mo has suffered a torn ACL and torn Meniscus. That may do it for the all time greatest closer the game has seen (so far)....

What an absolutely ridiculous way to go out. I hope it does'nt end like this for him. Joba I could give 2 shits about.
Mo says he's now coming back.. Was huddling with Jeter before he announced it to the media
I just now watched the mini-presser he did on the 4th. I'm glad he's taking it in stride and looking forward to coming back.
So the fucking phenom Harper stole home last night! Holy shit, is this kid the real deal or what?
Watching he brilliance of Matt Kemp has the 2012 Season in awe, it's an honor and makes you wonder how Braun won over him last seasons MVP. Predictions were Angels at top, Dodgers as mediocre and look what happens, Dodgers are free of owner cancer and are looking menacing while Angels play like Padres. Puljos forced day off was fun as he finally connected Sunday, wonder if he will pay off, Weavers no hitter was nice and they have elevated play as a team.
I always loved O's and having the old smiling oriole logo has them winning in the uniforms of the last O team to wear, Powell, Palmer and Murray when they were Great into the 80's.
Just a lift having the season start out fun again erasing '11 opening with Brian Stowe beating, Bay area homicide, the tragic rail slip in Arlington and 2 other close ones? Had a hell of an ending how St. Louis burnished away the rough spots with W/C Roll.....2012 MLB has me wanting to go to games again, first time since post strike that it feels fun again. Did not see one last year.
I'd like to see more West Coast clubs but here in Florida it's all Marlins and Rays. I do like the Dodgers resurgence and I hope it continues...
The O's as an organization are a class act, Showalter, not so much as far as I'm concerned. I guess everyone has to have their opinion and something to base it on.
Having spent many youthful summers watching old world series films from the 70's with Curt Gowdy and Mel Allen narrating, I grew up appreciating the O's and Dodgers... The Bombers are my club though...
On another topic... A bllod clot has been found in Mo's right calf. He was quoted as saying, "Everything happens for a reason." Maybe a torn ACL and meniscus saved his life. Oh, and Pettitte is slated to get his first start of the year this Sunday...
hamilton with 18 total bases yesterday...LOL
Oh boy......so this is what life without Mariano Rivera is gonna be.....now we know how the rest of the league feels. Jeter is great....but mariano is the single most important Yankee over the past 17 yrs.....take that dude away and the Yankees are the Braves of the 90's.
One word... Franchise.
Frankly, I think Soriano should be the ninth inning guy with Robertson setting up. They both know those roles very well. (It's so easy to manage from behind my keyboard... lol)
I get Robertson is the "Heir Apparent" but he kinda got tossed to the wolves and didn't look great Tuesday night either. I'm not totally surprised though. Being a closer is as much about attitude as it is talent. Hopefully he get's his head around the fact that in the ninth, he pushes the coffin in then kicks on the dirt. He ain't digging holes anymore.
Loogadat... Soriano got the save tonight!
Solid game by C.C. could have had a chance to save the pen and go 9 if "Brooks" Nunez at third could make a play or two in the field. The kid did steal 2 bags, got 2 hits and scored a run. He's not an infielder.....gotta try him at left field....it's not like the Yanks have a powerhouse leftfielder with Andruw Jones and Ibanez filling in for Gardner...who btw is always hurt and is way too streaky to seriously be considered an everyday player. Nunez has an outfielders arm.....he's mentally shot in the infield and you cant have a utility infielder who is a defensive liability. That being said, it was a beautiful night to be at the Stadium last night.....got hooked up with freebie tix and sweet seats on field level. Cano looks like he's slowly getting his stroke back......now if Texiera could bat more than .217 we may be on to something. Kind of depressing though not hearing Sandman blasting and not watching mariano trot out from the pen in person last night.....weird feeling being at the game and no Mo.
Cano was 4 for 4 tonight and is 12 for his last 20!!

And how 'bout Ibanez? This guy is the David Justice of this year's Yankees so far. Gettin' old, but still knows how to get'em out of the park when needed. As opposed to A-rod jacking them out when their up 11-2.
