As far as this "rumor" - I kinda doubt people are gonna be lining up to see Jeff Scott Neverwas fronting VH. Besides, I talked to Dave today and he said VH is planning a 3,000 city tour for later this year.
They might if they put out an album first and it gets a little airplay on the radio and the internet. They could pull that off with Cherone on vocals. If it sounds anything like CVH it might be worth listening to.

And Van Halen is only of use to me when Roth is fronting. Thus, if Roth is no longer able to front the group, it matters not who they get to sing.

Soto sounded awful on that version of Cradle. A lot rag of Dave's voice but his songs are not the easiest to sing because his mechanics are so different than traditional vocalists. Of course that kills him now and means he needs to adjust but his shit ain't easy to sing. The constant stories of new singers and Hagar etc.. is all just bullshit filling a void.
