The real problem isn't skin pigmentation, it's economic inequality. Of course centuries of institutional racism (not mere bigotry here, but actual LAWS saying one group of people is "superior" to another) certainly led to much of that inequality.

As far as the current economic conditions in Detroit, that can be blamed on 33 years of bullshit economic policies which has all but destroyed the manufacturing sector of this country. And while the auto industry is one of the few that still exists, it's not the power it once was, not even in Michigan. That's where the folks you call "white trash" come in.... because now the criminals of the 1% are treating most of us white folks like they have been treating the "minorities" in the past.

Unfortunately, the FAUX news crowd reads that situation entirely backwards and blames the "minorities" rather than the criminals who shipped their job off to some third world shithole.... and then allowed the infrastructure of this country to deteriorate to the point where portions of the USA look like the third world shithole (minus the jobs)

Henry Ford's blue collar employees made the middle class in Michigan. They lived, and continue to live, extravagant lifestyles, if they choose. The issues with Detroit, and Flint, have gone on far longer than just since the downturn in the auto industry. Their issues absolutely are ethnicity related. Those motherfucking losers were making good livings, while destroying their respective neighborhoods and cities. They made money, and chose to spend it on drugs, fancy cars, jewelry and clothes, instead of keeping up their property and dwellings. Like I said before, they didn't move into a ghetto, they created it. Detroit wasn't a ghetto before they took it over. Flint wasn't a ghetto before they took it over. Isn't it ironic, all the suburban automotive plants and supplier plants that have gone out of business, hasn't turned the suburbs into ghetto's.
