No matter what the Bozo Brothers say... No matter what Ronald McHagar says, no matter what Mikey says-WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT MIKEY ANYWAYS?!? Dave embodies the SPIRIT, the wreckless abandon, the fine-tuned ass-kickingness(I know that's not a REAL WORD) of Classic Van Halen!! CVH, and Roth solo, is the kind of music that makes your parents wet their pants... It pisses off your neighbors, and scares your teachers into a perpetual state of dementia. It's the song "Panama" blaring out your convertable while the 3 hot dames in the backseat scream the words at the top of their lungs as you CAREEN WILDLY down MainStreet USA with a Full Blown ARMY of cops chasing you straight to FUCKING HELL!!! It's the tunes that makes panties wet, and old-folks cry!! It's the videos that gave your mom a coronary, and your dad a BONER. It's the music of the ultimate "FUCK YOU" to all the Goddamn pussy-asses that MAKE ME FUCKIN PUKE!! It's Red-Hot, Red-Blooded, Good-Old Fashioned, BAD ASS AMERICAN HEDONISM IN A CAN, MOTHERFUCKER!!! And if Ed, Alex, Mikey, and Sam can't hang, then FUCK THEM WITH A CACTUS, cuz Dave can hang... Shit, DAVE invented it! Dave's done more for the Bozo Brothers than anyone, and how do they repay him?? They tool him out of his HARD-EARNED $$ in the royalties... they talk shit about him EVERYTIME they are within a 10 yard radius of a microphone... they hire Hagar to sing for them??--SHIT... Me too. It's fucking disgusting. I have yet to speak to anyone that has gone on this tour (at least outside of forums), and I don't want anyone to buy into this farce. We didn't sit waiting years for Dave to come back only for Sammy to step up to the plate and sing Journey songs again.

The thing is, Alex is really the guilty party here. He's the one that hates Dave so much. He's the one that's prevented Van Halen from ever getting back together. And what I really want is for him to actually feel what it's like to be left out of this band. Dave and Eddie made that band. Alex was the fucking drummer. He was a good drummer, but still a drummer nonetheless and he's no John Bonham or Mitch Mitchell anyway. So, for him to sit there and act like it should be his baby makes me sick.

Let him get thrown out and let the others make millions without him. Not many people would give a shit if he isn't there. I think even Mikey is more important because of the distinctive Van Halen vocal sound. So, let Dave, Eddie and Mikey tour with a great drummer...Dave Grohl or somebody. And let Alex fuck off and stay home. I really hate that guy.

I've actually brought up the possibility of having Van Halen tour sans Alex...something like Dave, Eddie, Mike and Ray Luzier...it wasn't met with unkind responses, but truth be told, I'd like all 4 of them onstage.

If it can't happen, though, fuck it, bring in Ray. Why the hell not? Like the sheep say, 3 of the original 4 is STILL Van Halen! Or, "As long as it's Eddie, it's VAN HALEN!"

Funny you should mention Aerosmith, cuz when DLR announced his departure in '85, one of my friends recommended Steven Tyler as DLR's replacement in VH... Of course he was drunk when he said it, but at that time, Aerosmith was disfunctional, and I suppose it makes more sense than Hagar... Although I don't picture Tyler as a big VH fan...
