Back in high school my cover band would play the Bejou community center on various weekends throughout the summer. Bejou is population 150 and over half of that are probably over the age of 60...or...even dead.

Kids would come from the nearby towns, though. The worst part was that my buddy, the guitar player (I was the drummer), would always set up gigs without any of us other guys knowing. We'd be practicing, trying to work up new songs, and he would just say out of the blue..."Hey, guys! I got us a gig!!" We would reply, "Cool!! When?" He would always come back with, "THIS WEEKEND!!"

That's when it would hit us...WE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ENOUGH FUCKING SONGS TO FILL A 2-HOUR SET LET ALONE A 4-HOUR SET. After an uncomfortable few minutes of silence we would ask him WTF was he thinking?

Needles to say, we did every surprise gig he lined up for us. Even if we had to repeat the first two sets at the end of the night because we didn't have enough tunes.

ya we used to do a 35 minute verzion of "where eagles fly" along with a 40 minute verzion of "i'll fall in love again" and it was spectacular. we all had RED guitars and the drummer had awesome RED drums with RED heads and RED sticks to.

i think i even colored my hair blonde and got a super curly perm! it was so funny LOL

I believe my "insider" on this booking date, but we will see what pans out come public announcement time. Then we will see if the tour lasts long enough to make it over here.
