Rock N Roll Hall of
Fame 2003
"David Lee Roth Steals the Show"
By T4guitar@aol.com
Tonight at the 2005 Rock and Roll hall of fame show anything can
happen. Our inductees tonight are Van Halen, Def Leppard, Brian
Setzer, and Prince.
All acts will be performing tonight but the most interesting will be
the appearance of Van Halen which has not been confirmed or denied
how the band will perform with three singers.
Rumors are that Sammy Hagar will not even perform, he is quoted to
have said "I'm just showing up to get my award and split, I
refuse to share the stage with a clown and a fairy".
Gary Cherone, the bands third lead singer who split in 2000 after
their 2nd album "VH3 Forever" bombed selling an
embarrassing 50,000 copies is quoted saying "It was the worst
mistake of my life, I don't even feel as if I deserve this award,
but if Eddie says sing will I'll sing".
The bands first lead singer the Orchadacious Diamond David Lee Roth
who left Van Halen in 1985 to pursue a tremendous solo career and
was briefly tricked into reuniting in 1996 had no comment.
Well it's showtime folks, the awards have been given and it's time
to see the inductees jam, first up is Van Halen who's lineup on
stage is still a secret because well, they don't even know yet,
Eddie Van Halen said before the show "I'm gonna look at all
three of them and say who want's to sing and who ever does
will"
You should have seen them accepting that award, it was definitely
the weirdest thing ever in the history of the show. First Edward
excepts his award saying "thanks to all the VH fans, and all
the band members over the years, and next month I'm having hip
surgery yada yada yada……….." , next Michael Anthony steps
up and shocks the world by saying "for all of you who think I
had no talent, F$%* You!, and the same goes to you Eddie", then
Alex Van Halen says "thanks, bla, bla, bla, my neckbrace, my
arm, bla bla bla" and then steps up David Lee Roth and says
" Sha Zaam, heard ya missed me, well I'm back and I'd also like
to say ………."
Next Sammy says his thanks and "I was abducted by aliens that's
why I wrote Love comes Walking In, some things are understood and
don't need to be discussed" and Gary says "thank God Nuno
was forgiving and Extreme went on to sell millions of albums.
Now the real fun begins the house lights go down and the crowd
begins to cheer (barely) when the curtains come up and there is Ed,
Alex, Gary and Sammy.
They are performing "Right Now, Without You Medley" and
are singing it duet style. Suddenly the 2003 Eddie VH series
Telecaster that Eddie is playing drops from his hands and a red and
white striped Kramer is hoisted down from the ceiling to Eddie and
as Alex kicks into the "Girl Gone Bad" drumbeat you hear
"wowwwwwwwwwwwwww" and Dave runs out onto the stage
singing "Got one foot out the Door" (Alex comes in ) and
Dave then proceeds to do a Jump Spin Cresent Kick (like in Jump
video)into Gary's face knocking him clear off the stage, then looks
at Sammy and says "I got my ass against the record machine? I
don't think so" then side kicks sammy in the ass so hard he
flys across the stage into the arms of Gary Cherone.
Then VH rips through "Jump", "Panama" and
"Girl Gone Bad", then Dave announces, "Original VH,
the new album, the tour 2006, coming soon, goodnight".
