Message Below I followed the four original members since the first album. Still have my  1984 ticket stub. I Remember Dave doing an encore singing ice cream man  head to toe in red feathers! This was entertainment! I considered the band  as a group of individuals that were strongest when playing together. The  mix of strong musicianship with humour was what I was, and am still looking  for. Quite possibly, Sammy was a better vocalist and greatly assisted  in writing, but for me the "It doesn't matter if you win or loose, it's  how good ya look playin’ it" ridiculous confidence was gone.  Guys, do  the reunion if it feels right and your hearts are in it. You’re all adults  now and that should help you to realize that some of the friction in the  band helped create some of the best music the rock world has yet to see. Music is about reaching many people and stirring emotions and giving people  memories. I write and produce music and value the lessons I learned from  endlessly spinning Van Halen records. You guys wouldn’t be trying it again  or doing a Dinosaurs of rock gig, you’d just be picking up where you left  off.
