Florida Shows Cancelled!

According to the "official" Van Halen (propganda) web site, the shows scheduled last week in Florida were cancelled due to Hurricane Frances. Okay, that in itself is no big fucking deal except to say that when they do play those re-scheduled shows would it be only right of them to donate the "profit" those fuckers charge (at $90 a ticket) to the victims of Hurricane Frances?

Probably not, as seeing that Ferrari mechanics have to eat, too.

Due to Hurricane Frances, the Van Halen Ft. Lauderdale and Jacksonville concerts have been rescheduled.

The Ft. Lauderdale concert is now scheduled for Saturday, September 11th.

The Jacksonville concert is now scheduled for Thursday, September 16th.

The Tampa concert will play as originally scheduled on Thursday, September 9th.

Tickets purchased for the original scheduled concerts will be honored at the rescheduled shows.

Up to Benefit Sun-Sentinel WB Children's Hurricane Fund

Monetary Donations to Be Collected at Van Halen Concert This Saturday SUNRISE - The Florida Panthers Foundation, Van Halen and BIG 106 in partnership with the Sun-Sentinel WB Children's Hurricane Frances Fund will be collecting monetary donations before and after this Saturday's Van Halen concert at the Office Depot Center to aid in the relief efforts for Hurricane Frances, which devastated Florida earlier this week.

Concert goers should look for the collection sites on the Spirit Airlines Funway at the Office Depot Center. Before the 7:30 p.m. concert, radio station BIG 106 will be broadcasting live from the Spirit Airlines Funway.

"We're extremely pleased to be working with everyone involved in this effort in order to benefit the residents of Florida that have been affected by Hurricane Frances," said Office Depot Center Chief Operating Officer Michael Yormark. "We hope that the Van Halen fans attending the concert on Saturday will help us in assisting those who need it the most."

The McCormick Tribune Foundation will match 50 percent of the first $1,000,000 contributed to the campaign. All administrative costs will be paid by the Sun-Sentinel, WB39 and the Foundation so that all funds can be distributed directly to organizations that will provide short- and long-term aid to those in surrounding communities who have been impacted by the storms.
