How old is Eddie?

In a new and boring interview with a Dutch rock magazine Eddie says he's 47. I always believed Ed lied about his age in the first VH years, and that it came out later that he was born in '55 instead of in '57. So that would make him 49.
It's not really important but...is Mr. Ed telling lies (again)? How old is the guy?:confused:

It's a pretty well known fact that Dave suggested right as they started getting big that it would be a good idea if they all said they were 2 years younger than they actually were. So Ed's birth year was often reported as 1957, and it still is sometimes, but he was of course born in 1955, and he's 49. I think when Sam came into the band, they all stopped doing that, but people still report their ages wrong from time to time.

"I'm 47 years old and I beat cancer, nobody can beat me".
And Alex says in the interview:
"We still got so many years to go. I'm only 51, and Eddie is 47. Only 47 years old!"

It looks they are deliberately lying again, since they mention Eddie's fake age twice in the interview. But why?

The magazine is called Aloha, and it's the October issue.

And if memory serves me right, they BITCHED about this when DAVE left. I seem to remember interviews in which EVH whined "I'm 2 years older! DAVE MADE us say we were 2 years younger! I'm not a ROCK STAR!!!"
